First, if you say no then they can not. Rule 0, I do not know the official rule, I do not believe that this is allowed in the game. Hiding your Ki and stealth can be used to hide before battle, OR to run away, not to hide in plain sight (You would need invisibility for that).

EDIT: Although you could run away, and if they focus on your allies sneak around a building or something to attempt to hide and regain the surprise of hiding, but this should take 3-4 rounds of movement before you can succeed, and only if they think you actually just ran away so it will only work once per fight, if it ever works.

Second, the dyanjanie nephilim power is to not be noticed, once your noticed it isn't helpful until you leave. Because of the power, after you leave, the opponent may not remember why or who they were fighting, but they would remember fighting. Also as soon as you do something antagonistic against someone, like stab them, your nephilim powers won't help you. Just like hiding your Ki and stealth, you can use them to hide before and after a fight, but not during a fight.

Third, use supernatural things against them. If you want a challenging fight have a group of people with just as much or more supernatural power than the characters.

I'll second the supernatural aspect in opponents. PC's have gone through a few combats so far, and done decently well, with almost no problem dispatching their opponents. I used my first honest supernatural encounter last night, and it was brutal. Only two supernatural things, a mage and a demon, with a few mooks scattered in to make things interesting. Demon took out one character, and nearly a second, with significant injury to a third. Mage was more of a hindrance than anything, but was fairly unphased by the time they escaped. The demon was 2 levels above, mage 1 level above. Also, the mooks made a difference (level 0 acrobatic warriors). Had it just been those two, they would have had little problem. But the addition of a few extra targets pinging away at their defenses, and distracting them from concentrating solely on the big thing, made it a very challenging encounter. Just my experience from last night. YMMV.

I fully agree with Lia Valenth except for one thing and that is the hide in plain sight. I personally allow it at -280 as the rules suggest hiding in front of someone and in an open area. However I also do not allow it in plain daylight, I somewhat allow it to emulate the hide in plain sight ability of the shadow dancer and assassin out of Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, therefore there must be shadows within the area, and the characters own shadow does not count towards this. This is my own twist, so other are allowed to agree or disagree as they wish. And yes you could attack and then hide if you wanted to each turn, but I limit the number of times a person can do this hide check to just once per turn, no matter how many actions per turn your DEX + AGI allowed you.

You could very much hide "in plain sight" as it were. Depending on the terrain, it would be -140(if it is a forest in the rain and evening) to -280 to the hide check, if it is a plain featureless room with lots of light. At least according to the modifiers for visual perception and hiding with the initial -200 for being obvserved plus or minus modifiers. No penalty to ki concealment though.

I remember in one fantasy novel I read, two brothers are having a sword duel to see who is the better swordsman. One has a larger build and the other is slimmer and mixes his stealth with swordplay. During the initial stage of their duel, the larger brother goes to attack the slimmer brother and the younger brother uses the cover of his counter attack to hide in the surrounding terrain. The chapter is from the perspective of the larger brother, and he, a swordsman trained since childhood in a society that gives their babies little wooden swords instead of rattles, has absolutely no idea where his brother disappeared to.

These two are fairly normal humans, I'd have hard time justifying them above level 4 or 5, and have no supernatural powers. One focused on social skills, the other on stealth. The larger one does go on the win with a blade slap to the ribs(pulling a killing blow). And this game is Anima, where super-ninja make normal humans look like chumps.
