Amazon has the zombies coming out on 31 August.
Those heavy walkers look like they are actually larger than the board square. Do you think that's the case? And will there be any special rules to handle that?

How trustworthy is Amazon with Dust Tactics? I know they are very, very, very unreliable with Warhammer 40K RPG stuff from FFG.
GTM has them listed as this month as well and they are usually pretty accurate.

Dunno, but I guess it's at least a close aproximation.
I am also intrested in when they have plans to release Operation:Downfall? I am wondering if they are going to push this till the 4th quarter, since they are releasing the revised core set for the third quarter.

Im not sure what GTM is. I know the upcoming page says august for the above items I asked about. I am fine with Aug 31, getting them in the mail the week after or something and what not. It would just be nice ot have them right now as I am on leave LOL.
The Priest looks like an interesting hero. He's a most welcome respite from the power escalation we've been seeing lately. He's 18 AP, so he can't be too powerful. He looks to be wielding just a pistol (6-shooter?) and a pack of dynamite. I hope he balances the lack of firepower by offering some tactical advantages.

Hey Dcal, whats the fluff like in the new Revised set?

I dont know if this information is out yet or what you were asking about. I didnt know it until I opened up the Core Set.
Hans has two weapons one is more of a INF weapon and the other is a Armor weapon. But the range is 3 for both of them. It is a Scout Vehicle so two additional squares on round 1.
Heavy Flak Grenadiers have Reload for all three Fliegerfausts. It is also a burst weapon.
Sturmpioniere have Fast and a Flamethrower
Blackhawk has a range of two. All in One and Fast.
Rhino Hero has Berserk
7 of the 8 scenarios are 130points. I know some were concerned with the scenarios getting to big. Makes sense, each side has 130 points of units in the core set. One scenario is just One Squad and One Walker for each side.
The introduction talks about three leading powers:
Allies: USA, British Commonwealth, Brazil and the French colonial empire
Axis: Germany, Japan and Italy
SSU: USSR and China
Then it says "Rumors of alien visitors from another planet and secret weapons abound..."
Thats really about it and No, I did not see any mention or talk about other factions at GenCon.
I will ask a couple FFG people about when these items will be for sale for the general public, see what they say.

Game Trade Monthly...its Alliance Games (one of the Largest US Distributers) magazine that has all of the upcoming items in it for the next month.
Hehe, can't wait to see the Brazilian allied forces.
One of the coolest patches of the war....
Im still interested to see how to make up a Majestic 12 force. I imagine largely allied troops, but some mercenaries from Axis.

The pre-war brazilian president (a fascist sympathizer) said "It is easier for a snake to smoke than for Brazil to enter the war." Thus, when Brazil did enter the war, on the ally side, the armed forces adopted the symbol, and the expression "the snake will smoke" is still used today, meaning something like "all hell is about to break lose".

Did not know that. Did not know Brazil was part of the Allies. I need to brush up on me history LOL. I like that story though, hs character.

Yeah, we sent some 25 thousand men to Italy in 1944.
The axix heavy walkers are as usuall very, very cool, nice to see some hero packs being finally released!
For the Allies, it's again a big shame how their walkers come out, I find them more Russian looking then American/British to be honnest, don't ask me why though.. The Medium walkers and light walkers look alright, just not very original, but somebody has to play them
Really looking forward to picking up a copy of the revised core set myself, and finally start playing!

Cool. I will have to inform my students/soldiers of this. Any interesting documentaries on the subject?
Hummm.. not much that I know, specially not in English. There are a few interesting documentaries in portuguese that I know of: "A Cobra Fumou", "Irmãos de Armas" and "Senta a Pua", about a brazilian fighter squadron.
Here's an interesting little
I think the Allied Heavies are not that bad. They do look like T28 inspired monsters. But, as usual, the Axis walkers are really awesome.
I don't really hate the allied walkers myself, it has its own unique appeal for an engine of mass destruction. I'm leaning more to like, but I'm primarily an axis player.
Actually, the more I look at them the more I am starting to like the Allied heavies over the Axis ones. What bothers me about the Axis ones is that they look like two-legged designs with a tiny set of rear legs 'tacked on', while the Allied tanks definitely have a cool 'primeval beast' thing going with their multi-leg low-slung chassis.

I think its intentional - after von Thaler death visionary designs stop. All axis can do is to try to expend from egzisting desing.So-Sigrid :
We need to add More Fire POWER! ,more Armor!
- but frau Sigrid it cannot stand anymore - Add MOre Legs you fool!
Any details on the heavy laser grenadiers? Trying to map out an Axis laser list just for the hell of it.
Anybody who's gotten their hands on the revised set could really uplead some pictures of the stat cards. Either here or on BGG.
How much is the new stuff costing at the show? I'm wondering if it's all sold out by now. Was thinking of saying screw it and heading out there. I need meh zombies!
