So me and a few of my friends have been wondering where there would be a regional event in virginia or if anyone is planning on trying 2 hold an event in there area.....

Also i think that we might try and host one in Blacksburg VA but we arent sure how many peole could make it down there becuase there arent many playgroup near but if you would plan 2 attend please post and let us know so we can see if its worth it 2 try. Thanks

not all of the regionals have been announced since many stores in the same state have applied for regionals, and so Paul is still trying to decide which ones will get a regional event... i'd suggest keeping an eye on the Fan Announcements though, since people will probably be declaring their regional events there as they hear about them.

There should be one in Woodbridge, VA at Game Parlor on or around March 5th.

Yes I will be hosting a Regional in Virgina at Game Parlor Woodbridge. I have already gotten the confirmation email from Paul. Right now we are discussing the date. I intend for the event to be block 3. when i signed up for the event, set 12 was schedualed for a mid Feb. release so early march would have worked. Since set 12 is pushed back, I requested the regional be pushed back so as not to conflict with set 12 release weekend. I am waiting final word from Paul, but it looks like the NOVA regional will be held April 4th. More Detail to follow.

He plans on only charging $5 for the event, and he also plans on making some other prizes as well besides the regional kit.

Yes Virginia There is regional. That goes for you too MD, PA, Jersy and the rest of the east coasters who wanna come.

NOVA Regional will be April 4th at Game Parlor Woodbridge (14400 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge VA 22192) www.gameparlor.com

Pro's: Lots of space, AC, fast food and hotels all around the area, the store is accessible right off of I-95

Sign-up will begin at 11AM Tournament will begin at Noon.

Cost to play: $8

In addition to the regular Prize kit stuff, I will also have a bunch of extra league kit cards to give away, and some extra prizes in the works. In addition the winner of the tournament will take home a special trophy as well. For details of what my trophies look like ask GouHado, as he won the last DC Regional and took home the Bison Trophy, (and I can't link photos).

As of right now the plan is for the tournament to be block 3. with set 12 being legal. (This may change if set 12's release is delayed too long into March)

Additional side events may be held if players want to after we cut to top 8. (I was thinking of a draft with set 12)

If anyone needs additional details post a message on this thread and i'll try and respond, I check the boards usually once or twice a day. Shortly there will be an anouncement in the event announcement board as well.

Although your aware that its the same weekend as SCC? it might not make a difference but then again it could take away from the attendance.

Another question......has the other regional event for our region been confirmed yet?

Yeah I'm the event organizer scuba so hit me up at that email. The date was originally aproved for march, but with the change of release of set 12 I asked for it to be pushed back. Then we had the announcement for the path of the master event, so I had to work around that as well. Where is the SCC taking place at? because so far I have heard from people from PA, MD and VA about attending my event, and I don't know how far some of them are able to travel so I may or may not be taking people away from the SCC. I know that personally April will be a bad travel month for me between GAMA in Vegas and the path of the master in MN the same week, thats taking up most of my discressionary funds for the next few months. So anyway hit me up scuba and we can chat about it and see if we can/need to work something out.
