me and my brothers had a bit of discussion about the "mutual" plots. The text says:

"When revealed, if you have more than one opponent, choose an opponent. You and that opponent cannot declare xyxxxy challenges against one another this round."

The If condition at the beginning is troubling us. In a game with only two players will this plot works or not? because it seems that the choice of an opponent is linked to the if condition "more than one opponent". Or the fact that the opponent in a 1vs1 game is obvious then you do not have to choice and therefore the second sentence apply...?

The plots essentially have no text in a 1-v-1 game.

The plots say that you can the chosen opponent cannot declare challenges against each other. And the ability to choose is, of course, tied to there being more than one opponent to choose from. With no choice, there is no meaning to the rest of it.
