Lanni Targ NighWatch Guide

By berto, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Hello,

Some of us maybe remember me. I was hardcore player 2-3 years ago and rotation kicked me off from a game. Now I'm thinking about returning.

I would like as always play with Lanni, Targ and NW. If you coul;d introduce current strategies and top decks for mentioned clans I would appreciate.

Can you help me to recognize what should I buy and how many boxes,. I"m pretty sure that I don"t need to buy all chapter packs.

Thanks for any help. I would like to be ready for coming Stahleck tournament :)

I woudl really use the search engines to decide what you need to buy.

Twn has them in his signature (gosh that is handy!).

Welcome back - I certainly remember you!

Yes I"m back. Can someone shortly intorduce me which deck archetypes are played out of lanni, Targ and NW?

Which Agenda's are in use?

Where I can buy cards etc?

Welcome back Berto.

You can´t do anything wrong by purchasing the Queen of the dragons expansion (a Targaryen expansion) and the Core Set. The defenders of the north chapter pack cycle features wildings and the nightwatch.

However rumor has it that the mentioned chapter packs maybe reprinted in a more player friendly format ( each of the old chapter packs has 10 cards x1 and 10 cards x3, the reprinted chapter packs maybe packed 20 cards x3).

Targ plays most of the time with the Kings of the summer agenda (which can be found in the "A song of summer chapter pack"). The nightwatch plays with up to three agenda which are found in the defenders of the north chapter pack cycle. For Lanni i´m not sure, i have seen a lot of builds with the shadow agenda (city of shadows which can be found in the city of secrets chapter pack) and in general many cards from a lot of different sets.

So right now my advise is to start with Targaryen since it seems to be the easiest way to start with a half decent deck without purchasing too many cards.
