Hey guys,
After playing some Brothers in Arms today, I saw they had almost the same ''pants'' as the dust Germans have, don't you think? they even have the knee cap etc!
So I tought it would be nice to convert a unit using german legs and american bodies and heads, what do you think?

That idea is a winner. I think that its a great idea and is perfect. The reverse is also true in that the americans long coats would make a great base for the Fallschirmjaeger jump smocks on the germans. It wouldnt take much touch up work or additionnal bits at all.
Hmm I think I will buy some then! Considering that FFG will not produce any Americans without the winter outfit, it will probably be worth it!
I had thought about using german legs for allies but the switch is brilliant, I hadn;t even thought of that, that's fantastic! I'm going to get one last core box set and make it happen

Nice idea. Who knows, maybe there will be some kind of pacific-campaign. That should include summer outfit... I'd vote for that, you bet!

How does this work for you? I was thinking of doing this for my 101st Airborne army (on BGG) but the American bodies are too big for the German legs.

Agreed. It just doesn't look right, it makes the torsos and heads look way to big to be supported by those puny little legs!
I don't really have problems with the ''tiny'' legs, from what I see it doesn't look that bad and it's a good solution untill FFG releases some summer campaign Americans. I just really dislike the American legs they have right now

Yeah, the current legs make the Allied soldiers look like they are wearing dresses...
To be honnest, when I compare the German bodies and American bodies with each other, they seem almost the same largeness, and comparing the legs of the Americans with the Germans, the American legs don't even look bigger considering they're wearing winter outfits, the german leg poses have one set that looks really skinny, and one who looks bigger, but that's the same with the American legs, some look bigger than the others
