This is the second necro of this thread. May it not be the last, and may we still get Gunboats one day.

There's a thread that I won't link to, where someone suggested (upon seeing the pre-release spoils) that the PS1 YT-1300 would replace the Y-Wing as the heavy hitter of choice. I giggled slightly when I read it.

Many Imperial pilots proudly flew what would now be deemed a mish-mash of ships in the early days of the Empire. V-wings and ARC-170s formed the main starfighter force while many outlying garrisons probably made due with the old Clone Z-95s, BTL-Bs and even V-19s. I would gladly fly a V-19 Torrent for the Emperor to bring peace and order to be Galaxy, even if the ship itself was over 2 decades old.

This has been an interesting read from back in the day.

Still missing the Skipray which is fairly logical although when it comes to stats for it I'm really thinking it may look a lot like the YT-2400 with a weak turret primary but the ability to equip a cannon and some sort of ordnance.
