Yeah, Chimaera, I deleted your PM notification from my email, thinking that it was just that... a notification! Thought I'd just read the PM at the website. Turns out that that email was the actual message (which I recovered and read)!
Old Names New Forum
yeah I can see the Inbox for the forum admins being flooded with request for different things related to the forums, along with a large number of users who will only have the SW icons and try to change the froum to be more SW lol

I can't find the ignore list.

Hey Sparks! Welcome.
Greetings everyone. Hopefully many of you may remember me from the WOTC forum and GenCon tourneys.
I am here at Gencon. I demoed the SW card game yesterday. It is a cooperative game where the play mechanic is the dark side. I have heard that this will change as more expansions are produced and will have some sort of a race to acheive a goal. That all I know at this point..
I am going to demo the X wing game over the weekend. From what I saw of it inititally, it plays like Wings of War.
The Fantasy Flight team here will not comment on future product releases but it is fairly obvious that a character base game is in the works.
Hi Moses! Thank for the info.
This place is looking more and more familiar.
Good to see so many names again and look forward to the speculation and discussion to commence full force.
Greetings all. I visited the old WotC forums all the time but rarely posted though I know some personally (hey Squid and Sparks) and am happy to see a lot of other familiar names.
I do have to say that I am cautiously optimistic about the new games. I like the apparent fast pace dogfight aspect of the X-wing game but I wonder if there will eventually be a fleet commander type of game with the big ships, maybe something along the lines of the various naval battle games out there. Just a thought anyway.
I am also interested to see what FFG can do with the RPG to make it fresh and exciting without getting bogged down rehasing everything that WEG and WotC already covered.
Hi everyone.
I used to read the WoTC Forums all the time. Everything from SSB to Minis to RPG. Only posted twice or three times I think.
I have FFG's Warhammer RPG and it is excellent IMHO. Actually I'm a big fan of both Warhammer and Star Wars (having a full time job and wife that works I can afford to be
)
I admit it took me sometime to get into the WFRP 3ed but put that down to real life commitments. I like it a lot and if the SW RPG is anything like it, it will be worth the expense. The thought of using cards instead of character sheets and forever prionting stats for NPC's would be a great help although I don't know how many here would agree with me.
Guess it's just a matter of taste. If they do come up with something totally different for whatever (Minis or RPG) then as long as it works then GREAT!!
Hope more come over from the WoTC Forum.
Add me to the group of people who were registered at the other boards, but didn't post there much. Looking forward to the new releases!
Yeah, I was registered there though I've always been more active here
Well given a negative review by a couple of heavy hitters from the SWM players, I feel that it's unlikely we will see a large percentage of those folks come here atleast right away, they may show up after the game has been released
I was Darth_Marth way back in the day, but seeing as I've used this name basically everywhere else, I got one of the admins to change my username on WOTC during the Gleemax era. So here I am.
I took major issue with the power creep situation in SWM. I was first excited about the game because I thought it would be about military tactics in the Star Wars universe, not because I wanted to see how fast I could slaughter the enemy with the most recent set's version of Mace Windu. But if this game can avoid that problem, I'm all for it.

3. IJT gets secret game updates from large bugs at work.
Wait, IJT works with bugs? I'm an entomologist, so that comment caught my eye, even though I know it probably has some other meaning.
Anyway, I was on the WotC forums, but not much. Mostly a reader, not a writer. I also had a really stupid name. Something like Guest91123325####.....etc. The first time I accessed WotC I had a question about the Starship Battles rules, so they made me an account entitled "Guest19...etc." and I couldn't change it. I'm glad to get off on the right foot here.
And I'm so stoked for X-wing! Makes me want to go read the books again -- I have books 1-8.

Hi Moses! Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I certainly do remember you and you helped me out a few times with stuff for SWminis so it's great to see you are still about.
While the starships side of things isn't really my bag I am hoping a land based game will come along in due course. Then again if X-Wing gets rave reviews I may give it a whirl.
I can see you also play Dust Tactics like me and if FFG came along with a Star Wars version with the same level of minis scuplt quality and paint jobs? I would be all over it like a rash. Although I would imagine Paolo Parente would also need to jump on board in this scenario.
Anyway I am glad you are still gaming & interested in Star Wars. It's an asset for any forum/game having you around/involved.
I've been around since the beginning of WoTC SW games.
I used to run the SWM games in Rochester NY. Still will if there is ever any interest. I have several scenerios made up as well as many custom maps to my name for the SWM game. We even dabbled on the Starships game for a bit and I was in the process of making the Death Star Trench Run for the minis. I am awaiting offical word on the correct size of the ships, baes, etc before I continue on the making of my 3D Trench Run....
I was DarthTelson on the WotC forums. I doubt anyone has even heard of me since I had maybe 20 posts total. And though the names aren't really ringing a bell at the moment (it's been a while since I've read the WotC forums), I hope to get more involved with the community this time around, money and time permitting.
Wow Parakitor, you're an entomologist too! How crazy is that! [That was sarcasm. For those who don't know, Parakitor and I are twins in real life. Our names come from our old bird pets which were parakeets, aka budgerigars. Not that anyone needs to know that.]
I was first drawn to this site when I found out about the LCG, but I've been looking into the X-wing game lately and I'm getting pretty excited for it as well, though it might be hard to do both since I'm still trying to get my hands on more WotC SWMinis.
Now what do you think?
The wonders of.....THREADOMANCY!!!!
Seriously, is this the first ever thread or something from the forums?
Wow. Just, wow.
Seriously we necro a threat from 2011 about people just saying their names from a prior forum?! I'm disappointed in myself for adding to the necro *sad face* *whine about a wave or something*
What the ****, Boba?
