New player, but long time player of other CCGs and I've read the FAQ and think I understand how this game works.
The part of Sun Stroke that I question is:
Response: After you lose a challenge by 4 or more total STR, until the end of the phase, attached character gets -4 STR and is killed if its STR is 0.
Who has to lose a challenge? I think it is the person who played the card (as opposed to who it is on), but that seems really good, especially for a 1 cost attachment.
If I am correct, that means as long as this attachment is in play and my opponent cares about that character and cannot get them over 4 STR, they cannot safely initiate a challenge with more than 3 STR because I could let them win unopposed and then kill their character. Also, we found this card to be especially wicked in Melee when two of us wanted the third player's Robb Stark with duplicate and Grey Wind attached off the board. I played Sun Stroke on Robb and then during challenges the uninvolved player started a power challenge against me with 4 STR and I let it go unopposed so that I could kill Robb by activating Sun Stroke. I guess I had to allow the one player to easily grab some power to pull it off, but seemed like an easy trade to get rid of Robb and Grey Wind.
Thanks,
