Registering on ffg

By odde_dario, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

The register page says that by registering you will "automatically have access exclusive downloadable content". I've looked I think undere every menu and link but the only downloadable content I've seen is on the support page and you don't have to be registered.

This community looks very much alive and I like the homebrew scene and don't wanna miss anything important :)

The only downloadable content I know about is the amateur-created Descent scenarios at http://app.fantasyflightgames.com/descent_quests.html

I don't know why FFG makes it so hard to find those, but there's almost no links to it across the entire website. But there's some cool stuff there, especially if you're interested in home brewed games, it'll be right up your alley.

I've got a short series of scenarios posted there under the "Playtest" section at the bottom ;)

If there is other downloadable content available, I'd be interested too! I'll be watching this thread.

I already downloaded a few, but it'll be a while before we play them

since we're on the subject, how's the replayability of the scenarios in general? it's still fun to play the same scenarios over and over for the heroes? After all, they're all rooms filled with monsters.

I'd say replayability is reasonably high, considering. You wouldn't want to play the same quest three times in a row (which is one of the more frustrating things for players who insist on playing the quests in order and beating each before advancing,) but you can go back to the early quests after a time and still have fun, even if everyone knows the layout already. I suspect this is largely due to the fact that most of the real challenges the heroes face come from OL spawns and card plays, not so much from the initial monsters in the room. ie: the enduring entertainment value is derived from player interaction more than from quest content.
