When a Hero joins a unit with a special ability such as "Fast" does the attached Hero gain "Fast" as long as he/she is attached to that unit?

Wow, good catch. Is that really an absolute rule? Cause if that means that squads with Jump share it with a hero, then the combination of Grim Reapers and Action Jackson will totally break the game. If such a unit is attacking in "Blue Thunder 7 - Destruction", all they need to do is win initiative on the 2nd round and it's a guaranteed victory.

Jump
Dunno, the hero rules say that the hero shares SOME abilities with a squad but that the squad always share abilities with the hero. In the case of Jump, the rules are clearly saying that this is one of those cases where the hero does NOT share the ability with the squad, but nothing indicates that this is an expection to the rule and that a squad dos not share this ability with a hero.
cool, thank you, actually that's what I one of the reasons why I asked, because of A.J. When I read the rule I guess I didn't really understand to well. Thanks for the help!
Yup basic rules say squads and heroes share sbilities. You need to look at specific abilities to see if they don't.
Yeah.... so.... an armor 3 squad with a hero that can move 8 squares in a single turn, while jumping over enemies and obstacles.... I can't wait to see the tournament match where someone takes the game after a single round.
Btw Where did you get stats of A.Jackson?
and can someone write about frau totenmayster card i need to decide how many zombies i need.
Iam quite sure that it will be ruled in the end that they dont share jump. It seems that core was written without knowledge about jumping infantry.
They already did quite a lot about heroes not sharing his jump with unit , Logic says that it works both ways .... but for now grey area that need to discussed and decided before game.
I would agree 100% but only if my oponent did proxy jump pack for hero (its still wysiwyg)
Do you Remember how they killed charge ?
Yeah, I still use the old Charge for the Luther and Loth, otherwise it would be very unfair to them.
And someone who got the Action Jackson figure at those game night kits said it had Assault.
Revised Rulebook pg 21.
Jump
A unit with this skill has powerful legs or jet packs that allow it to leap over obstacles.
During movement, the unit can ignore an obstacle (such as a cover element
or another unit), but it must land in an empty space. Units cannot jump
over a space without a dot (a terrain square or a vehicle). Vehicles with
the Jump skill cannot jump over structures, but soldiers or heroes with
the Jump skill can jump over structures.
A hero with this skill can only join a
squad that also has this skill. A squad with this skill can only be joined by a hero that also
has this skill.
Ah, well done! That really solves A LOT!
Though I'm quite disappointed to see that Jump is no longer able to bypass vehicles.....
