The game I just played is surely the shortest game of Talisman I ever played personally.
I play the Troll (chosen over the Sage and the Leprechaun). During my first turn, I encounter the Idol. Rolling nets me a Talisman.
Second turn I encounter the Lord of the Pit. He rolls a 1 while I roll a 5. Got him beat, so I teleport to the Plain of Peril and turn him in for 1 strength.
Third turn I think, what the heck, and enter the Crypt. I roll 1+2+6 and use my single fate to reroll the 6 into a 3.
Fourth turn I roll 10 for myself and 5 for death, which allows me easy passage.
Fifth turn I roll a total of 5 for the Werewolf's strength. Thinking I have him beat easy, I roll a 3, while the Werewolf rolls 5, resulting in a standoff.
Sixth turn both the Werewlf and I roll 6, allowing me to pass on.
Seventh turn I arrive at the Valley of Fire.
Eighth turn I arrive at the Crown of Command, immediately rolling a 6. My opponents are the Gypsy, who had already encountered an unlucky combination of monsters and was now down to two life, and the Ogre Chieftain, who was now down to 5 lives.
I roll 3 1s in a row, until the 12th turn I roll a 6, so the Gypsy, who encountered the Demon in between, bites the dust. She drops several followers and some gold on the ground, which is soon after picked up by the Ogre chieftain. My bad luck continues rolling only a 4+ every 4 or so rolls, while the Ogre Chieftain uses his gold to heal at the Chapel and the Village, before he manages to land on the woods and build a raft (he already drew a Talisman. In the end, around round 30 or so, the Ogre Chieftain is down to one life and manages to kill himself against a Craft 5 Enemy, even though he has Craft 7 and spends a fate on the encounter.
