huh, looks like the resolution isn;t hapy with this forum, any suggestions about getting these the right size?
I suppose with these you can rightclick and view image
That looks great man. Good job on the modelling and painting. Did you use the Tamiya kit? The easiest way I have found is to just manually resize them in your post via edit until you get it right.
yeah, tamiya's 48 scale kits are affordable, well made and totally easy to build, I highly recommend. And thanks for the resize advice
Just looked at the Sigrid conversion. She looks good with the arm repose and cap.
The turret looks to big for the hull really, couldn't you use the actual Pershing Hull as a base? For the photo's a resolution of 640x 480 works well, you can change it while in photobucket without having to repost the link.
Very Cool !!!!!
That what we need to make this game massive - cool minis , great painting and creative conversion ....

Iam afraid that would make Heavy Walker Pershing to big for base/square on board.
I tried resizing in photobucket, didn;t work, and as for the pershing hull, it was very very big, I toyed with the idea for a bit, but decided on bulking up the existing hull. here's one more pic from a less 'perspective heavy' angle, I think the turret matches the hull. The main reason I didn;t put the turret on it's original hull was the legs didn;t look big enough to support it, I'd have stuck it on a converted AT 43 chassis a long time back if they hadn't have sold out, and if I wanted to get one off of Ebay. The only problem I have with this mech in the end is that it isn;t significantly bigger than a pounder, and on a battlefield to the untrained eye, looks like just another med walker.
That seriously rocks, Dude. The extra plating makes it look really thick. I think the turret works just fine.
I ordered a 1/48 tamiya Pershing kit to do the same conversion a week ago, so this is awesome.
I think I will try to increase the body size, if it is possible. It might be too difficult. In fact, I might just buy the Pounder kit for the Dust site and alter it from there.
This still looks really cool. Any ideas for stats? The gun should be similar to a 88.
Hey fast, show us a closer look of that girl standing next to the tank!
That looks excellent- I agree that it looks a little close to the M202 (but then the Pershing itself wasn't huge), but still a nice model.

Masterful work! Question though, how did you do the paint chipping on the walkers giving it a worn out look. I also notice the speckles on the walker. Care to share?

The new rules mention about models taking up more than one square, and those new heavies we have just see definately will
The chipping was easy, I use a near black grey (valejo - German grey), and paint on splotches on edges, this represents a primer coat that hasn't been worn away from metal but has lost it's outter paint coat. Then I paint inside the grey areas boltgun metal, or some other dark silver, to simulate bare metal. The flecks I stole from Theguildllc, I just liked the look of splashed mud or dirty water on the legs. This was simply a black ink on a tank brush flicked with my finger, be careful here, practice on something first and get your paint wetness right!
So what are the stats? Move 1. Armor 5, Health 6? Ay thoughts on the main gun yet?
Well, given the size of the actual heavy walkers, this one would be just a smidge better than a Pounder, that sounds right, Armour 5 health 6, gun might be a an 8/1 vs armour 5, not sure. I just made the thing for a reason to build a cool model
I'm sure the Dust Warfare book will cover either this thing's weight class in terms of rules, or maybe even include a how-to build you own mech section, shouldn;t be long now.

i use an old toothbrush, dip it in the paint and then use my thumb to flick the paint on.
I really like your Pershing conversion. I just got the Tamiya kit, and I am looking at altering it into a walker. The main hull is actually die cast, so there is no chance of converting it.If anything, I think I am going to totally dismantle the base and legs, and make the rear legs larger, to allow it to jump.
Didnt someone else dismantle the Allied walker legs and show them extended? I can't for the life of me figure out how they even walk!
I will tackle this project this week. Not sure if I want to wreck a perfectly good walker or find substitutes for the parts.
I like the look of the walker and can't wait to see stats for it.
It is a really nice walker and the paint job is great.
