Cassino - The Continental Hotel

By Klaus Fritsch, in Tide of Iron

I have just started work on a first smaller scenario featuring one of the attacks of the Allies against the German paratrooper position in the Continental Hotel in the ruins of the town of Cassino.

So far, I have an idea for the Pz IV which had been driven backwards into the hotel as a defensive strongpoint.

Armor 4, Defense +4 (lost of rubble piled around it)

As long as it attacks only with one of its MG (same stats as for the German MG), it can use Rapid Op Fire. As soon as it attacks with full armament, it loses Op Fire status.

What else do you think should be in the scenario?

I would treat the MG and the main gun as two seperate units.

I think that fire from the main gun rocks the tank and kicks up so much dust from the debris packed around the vehicle that the MG loses its targets.

I will think about it, though.

Place a smoke counter in the hex, when the cannon fires? it is not a blackpowder gun though ;-)
