I vote for that too, would be great to have someone live-feeding and blogging about what's said at the seminar.

You have my vote (and my axe!) for Reckless Dice going there. If there is any WFRP going on.
I find hard to believe that 3rd edition will end. Using the fluff from 1nd and 2nd editions are OK, but I prefer spend money on nice FFG boxes. And beside that, we need moar information about Lustria.
And surely, the 3rd edition system (that I like to call Reckless Die system) is the perfect system for the next Star Wars rpg. Think about it. Jedis when use red or green die are risking going into the dark side (anger and fear).

Being a big Star Wars nut, I'm not really sure how I feel about that. My general instincts about FFG though are that they will take every opportunity to make the Star Wars RPG its own beast. Only time will tell what they do with it. Here's hoping that it does an old D6 fan proud!

We'd love to, but our guys are unable to attend this year. Next year its on the books though, i've never been to GenCon and would love to attend.
We are recording our Episode 15 tonight, and would love some new discussion topics on Sifting Through the Shadows 2.0. Fingers crossed.
Gtizman
P.S. We placed our bets on what we think we will see over the next year in Episode 14.
I know it's in line with the warhammer mood but there really is no reason so far to go around crying DOOM or to give yourself over to the ruinous powers in order to get more supplements (Hmmm Slaanish....
). The production line has been very steady so far and nothing indicates it won't continue to be for some time.
So, if my timezone conversion capabilities are sound, the presentation is underway! Here's hoping some of the forum regulars are there right now, aching to report on their findings ![]()
Bueller?
Anyone have an update? Pretty please?
I can start some completely unsubstantiated rumors... would that help?
Ogres and Hobgoblins in the next supplement. Chaos dwarves as playable characters.
Oohh let me try...
Next set includes 10 careers for characters from Araby, and the bad guy section includes Tomb Kings.
Anybody believe that?
I just saw someone posting a vid of Jay's seminar on You Tube.
SPOILERS BELOW:
Coming early 2012: Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th EDITION!!!
Fans have been clamoring for an RPG experience that is more like a board game, and 4th Edition delivers.
Each player has their own 17" x 22" "character board" to manage all their character's resources and actions. Each turn in combat you roll 2 dice and move your token that many spaces along the board track. Whatever space you land on is your character's action. If you roll doubles, you get another action. This set comes with die cast pieces, like the wheel-barrow and top hat.
Also in this edition we will get a set devoted to the core storyline this year: A WFRP/Star Wars Crossover called Misfiring Cannons.

You little... I've almost died of a heart attack!
Reckless Dice has a twitter follower who is at the conference. I'm still trying to ping him for info though.

My work here is done, then.
HAIL TZEENTCH!
Well from what i've gathered, the seminar only talked about recently released products and the upcoming Slaanesh supplement. No new products announced.
Gitz
P.S. There may still be news coming but its looking doubtful now.
So its either FFG are playing cards close to chest in a conservative stance or v3 is on the back burner for now. My guess is that stuff is in the pipeline but too early for FFG to make any announcements.
Who hosted, J.L.?

Hope they announce something. I am sure somebody asked this kind of questions to the devs in the seminar.
If it is true that they haven't announced something new in the seminar, I don't understand it. Last year they released Journey to Black Fire Pass, they had prerelease copies of Signs of Faith at Gen Con, they had Shifting through Shadows -- and all that despite the fact that they had a lot on the plate with the Guides and Vaults coming up. But now, Black Fire Pass has been at the printers for three months, Lure of Power must be almost ready for the printer. So I cannot believe that they have no announcements "ready". There are no downloadable adventures, there is no buzz anymore. It seems like they want to take the life out of this game. But why? I just don't understand ....
I'm not liking how all this is sounding guys and gals and I'm starting to get freaked out. On a positive note however Liber Fanatica VIII is now up at the Liber Fanatica site.
That's just plain stupid. They should announce at least "oh and by the way we have something coming". Still hoping for something like that though.
At this stage, I'd hope they just release the next Shifting Shadows-esque document in the week or two after Gen Con.
If they had a Shifting through Shadows-document ready in one or two weeks, they could as well have announced the stuff at Gen Con. That's what Gen con is for: announcing stuff. Why wait until one or two weeks after Gen Con and presenting everything in a neat document after concealing everything at the Gen Con seminar?
I am still waiting for the report of a witness
.
I was not able to attend GenCon this year, alas. I hope to go next year.
However, and I cannot actually divulge anything, but for what it's worth, I have NO worries about FFG stopping from making supplements for WFRP anytime in the near future
. While they might not have mentioned upcoming supplement in the seminar, I have absolute faith
there are several supplements in the pipeline.
Also, I will point out that Jay Little is no longer in charge of WFRP (he got promoted). I would expect Dan or Chris to be giving this year's seminar.
It's possible there is less foreshadowing at this year's seminar, and that after GenCon a new "Sifting through the Shadows"-like post will appear with hints for any upcoming products.
IMO, people shouldn't worry about the state of WFRP. I think it just seems that way since it isn't the "hot new kid" on the FFG block because of the hype of all the new games they've got coming out.

Also, referring to something mentioned above - GenCon is rarely used for announcements. All the new items were announced just prior to GenCon (star wars, Slaanesh suppliment, etc), so that people would be enticed to go in the first place.
