The Salzburg A Game of Thrones players invite you to once again share in a special experience. August 26th - 28th marks the 2011 Austrian Nationals for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game!

The Nationals will be supplemented with side events beginning on Friday and running until Sunday night. These events will be decided by the majority of the participants a few days before Nationals begin, but will most likely include a Draft, Legacy, a Melee or Kingsmoot Tournament, and a Hand of the King Tournament. Board games, such as A Game of Thrones: The Board Game will also be played. The Championship Tournament will be played on Saturday and will be Joust.

The entry fee for Nationals will depend on the number of players that attend, but will be in the range of 10-15 euros.

Great opportunities

The artist Franz Miklis is rumored to be making an appearance and will present some of his latest, original paintings for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game.

Participants will be able to take advantage of the building’s private location, and play outside in a lovely garden (should the weather allow). There will also be a barbecue in the evening for players hungry after their battles.

Further, if any of the players attending desire to stay in Salzburg for free, they are invited to stay at the homes of the local players. Just be sure to bring your sleeping bag!

Prizes for the event include the Nationals Kit provided by Fantasy Flight Games, an original art piece by Franz Miklis, art prints, and more.
