Can I take the time to still disagree with you? ![]()
I disagree that martell decks in melee will use VB over burning on the sands.
Now I need to decide whether to play Stark or Greyjoy ~ :-)
You know you want to play Stark!

Stark-Greyjoy Alliance!
Oh snap!
dang too short to post messages.
hope every targ player uses this to keep everyone else in line.
1. You are right, the guests have blown the last few years at GC. But they did have all the hobbits from LoTR in 2004 maybe? And pretty close to the whole cast of Battlestar in...2005? Wow...it has gone way downhill.
2. Springfield had the best US regional attendance? I thought Kubla either barely won or tied? Or is this a "darryl beat Erick' type rememberance? ![]()
3. Drunk draft has always been on Saturday that I remember. Will said something about a Friday Joust, and I just don't remember that happening (other than when they did a Sweet 16 the next day, and that was pre-DD).
4. No Missou meta at the DD (except Dobbs)? For some pansy White Wolf party? Sigh...you think you know people.
5. Will - you brining Deadlands? Or am I going to bring it so you can shun me for the 3rd year in a row?
I have a (big!) CoC deck, but it is a year behind probably...
I'm bringing Curses!
If you haven't played it, perhaps you should find me Friday night.
Since I am only playing the Joust (~or as I call it, the Championship), I think I am going to have plenty of time to figure out other things to do. Probably will try L5R on Friday (first tourney in 5-6 years, used to play it competatively). Not sure on the rest of the time.
~Thanks FFG for putting Warhammer on the same day as Joust *roll*.

Guess we won't get a chance to rematch then.
Not like it matters much. The legends pack completely changed the game.

Maybe...hey, we can always play for fun and you can beat me down again
I am bringing my decks for sure.
I havent played since regionals, nor have I updated my deck. If youre up for it though, I'm game. Friday night is pretty much the only free time I will have I think ![]()
Hi,
I listened to your broadcast and I found it a bit vague. For example you didn't stress out enough that the whole maester thing is a bunch of c... that need to be addressed quite soon So I'm completely happy for people to fiddle around with this completely broken toolbox for few months and have fun with it.
GEN CON will be a gigantic maester feist with games ending in 3 rounds with little effort from both the winning and the loosing side. Then, after the whole thing cools down, I hope developers will bring the game back in line with the atmosfere and essence of the books, which, I think, is the most appealing feature of this game.
Some ideas to correct the extreme brokenness ?
1) Still setup with 60 cards: chains are in excess of 60.
2) Get rid of hte +1 STR on the apprendice collar
3) you pay for chains when you take them from agenda.
These are just some suggestions to let people play something else but maesters, in future.
@Rings
A little off topic, but what clan or clans did you used to play in L5R? I ran Phoenix back in the day and occassionally dust off the cards to play a game or two. Lemme know if you're ever in Iowa City and want to play some L5R or AGoT.
idk if I agree, Maester decks can be pretty vulnerable to things such as a game of cyvasse, targ burn, etc. I'm not really sure they are nearly as broken as you seem to think they are.
Well,
for sure there is a counter for every card in the game. Nothing is unstoppable. But when you setup with 50 cards instead of 60 and then start making a kill per phase, that counter must come to your hand pretty quick.
