Found a model kit by Tamiya of a british special air services jeep that would be a great class 1 vehicle. It is 1/35 scale and lloks great. I can't attach the picture i found of it online, but it has 2 linked foreward facing machine guns and one rear facing machine gun.
Jeep to use as class 1 vehicle
You will want to get a 1/48 scale jeep. 1/35 will be way too big for the figures. Dust figures are on the "heroic" scale which means they measure out at about 30 to 32mm from bottom of the foot to the top of the head. They are only slightly larger than a standard 1/48 scale human model. I would recommend the Tamiya 1/48 scale Jeep kit or if you can snag one, the old Bandai 1/48 scale kit. The old Bandai kits are very detailed and look great next to your gaming figures.
Yup, Dust is 1/48 scale. Had a thought about jeeps, everybody would give them armour 1 and 1 or 2 wounds and the jeep would get wiped out at the sound of any gunfire making it almost worthless, so how about it having the number of wounds equal to the squad its carrying +1. So with each hit it receives you take of a model as normal reducing its firepowere bit by bit.

Whole Line of DUST tactics is 1/48.
If you looking for traditional airplanes and vehicle look for 1/48, Tamiya is major producer of models in that scale, also Hobby Boss.
On Dust Facebook official group you can find some Rick great pictures of 1/48 Tamiya used as prop in convent scenario.
kris gorham on his CLASSIC DUST is WARRRRRR!!!!! blog on boardgame geek has some rules for adapting standard vehicles and some cards for jeeps etc http://www.boardgamegeek.com/blog/545
ALSO brilliant http://twc-dust-tactics.blogspot.com . has some cards of vehicles and article about using tamiya kits to enrich your DUST troopers
-standard vehicles design for 28mm and 1/56 would be to small for Dust (one made by warlord or west wind for example)
-DUST is 1/48 more less anatomically correct. There in nothing really "Heroic" in scale
-
28mm is 1/56 (smaller) though GW infection popularized "heroic 28mm" in which figures are more bulky , square like which influenced vehicle design .Becouse of that ppl buy 1/35 for 28mm. For example GW space marine next to DUST grendier look like extremly muscular dwarf or kid in father cloths (heads are almost ok size wise).
Hope that Helps

Hey GrandInquisitorKris on his blog have some useful rules for transport - slightly to complicated for me right now but useful none less.
I use kubelwagons and jeeps to add style to my units. I happy to not use any rules for them.
I am also happy with 2-3 points worth - 4 - 6 ( Sonderkraftfahrzeug ) points wound screen that give unit 2 move. That kinda idea behind them is it not?
Thanks for the info on all parts. Its nice to finally know what scale 25-30mm falls closest to after all these years of gaming, always had issues figuring (or remembering) it out.
No heroic scale?
Explain to the the size of OZZ's head. Actually none of the Allied Heavy Infantry heads would fit into the helmets on the Grim Reapers. Also the guns are WAY too big, worse than Gamesworkshop's heroic scale on the shotguns. Measured out they ar about 28m (1/56 scale or so). The tanks about fit the scale though.

Hey
I did not intended to offend any one ... If i did iam sorry.
I cannot explain OZZ head or Grim reapers - i dont own them (btw i dont like whole power armor aestetics in dust , i kinda understand that they did this for GW 40 k crowd but still).
But i own Tamiya range and for me it looks well with orginal Dust tactics mr Parente designs . (tamiya is on small side of 1/48 japnese optic i guess).
Parente Dust Line started as 1/32 model kits and we model builders can be far more anal about scale
BBq shotguns are more less same size as space marine scouts size wise and its 1/48 - 1/56.
Weapons on gaming miniatures need to be thicker to make them stronger . I have collection of 1/32 mOdel kit infantry and all older models lost theier barrels on longer weapons .
It is mostly aestetic taste discusion and is old as 28 mm miniatures. For me 28 mm heroic does not work with 1/56 , for some 28 mm works with 1/32
De gustibus non est disputandum . or something.
Respect ...
I can explain only on of the models. the Grim Reapers the heads are kinda shrunken in when you look at the Devil Dogs. So maybe they just made the scale a little off. OZZ on the other hand havent figured out maybe he was a prototype of the heavy suits.
Or maybe OZZ just has a big head. Everyone is different. No one is perfect. Poor Ozz, always eating alone because of his enormaous freaky head!

Sorry,
No offense, my reply might have been worded a bit off.
I hate the Heavy Infantry heads, OZZ's head is WAY too big, sorry, he's not a bigger person, his head is WAY too big... 28mm Heroic works well with 1/35 or 1/32 because they are bigger I guess. Bigger guns are fine since you can easily see what weapon the model has and it won't break off all the time. I have no problem with the DT scale excep tthe Allied Heavy Infantry...
You all shouldn't be making fun of or passing comments about Ozz's head, you know. You'll hurt the guy's feelings! Come on, leave the guy alone....
I agree that DT minis are slightly "heroic" in general, and completely so weapons wise. Generally they are refered as 32 mm other than 1/48, and I´ve read Paolo Parente himself refering to the scale of the game as 36mm...
Anyway, 1/48 should do nicely. Also, I have always used 1/43 cars from various brands (like burago) for heroclix and other 32mm minis with excelent results. To me they look better than strictly 1/48 because of the various "heroic" features.
1/56 scale looks dwarvish next to any gaming miniature! and not an easy scale to come by...
As for Ozz´s head...only explanation I have is some gorilla ADN... =D
Artisan would be close to 28mm tru prop. Project X is 1/48
Just to make myself clear - i use 28 mm as scale not real high of models same goes wit 15 mm , real high may vary
BTW i have seen arkangl conversion from hero clix.
Could someone post picture with Heroclix minis next to Dust MInis
i would be much obliged
Bear in mind that Heroclix/Horrorclix rigor on scale is lame and changes from sculptor to sculptor and even worse from expansion to expansion...but thay are a great source of available cheap painted minis!
I´ll post some pics later today.

Cool! would be great!
iam mostly interested in new capt America Line if that helps with my question
Hey Poyet, sorry I took so long on replynig. On the other side, i´m having trouble uploading th pics I took, so I´ll send them through pm.
I think there is a Super-science reason for Ozz's head being big. I think he is a "Captain America" type experimental trooper, and is perhaps just gigantic. Also, who was ever happy with a little head?
And on the subject of the jeep:
Allow a player to swap out one figure in a 5 man squad for a Jeep. If it has the MG, good, if not, it merely provides a higher movement rate, and once hit, it is removed from play.

Maybe OZZ is Megan Fox disguised as man?
