A stupid question regarding North agenda

By ktei2008, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

North agenda reads: You can have any number of North agenda but you need 2 more power to win the game.

Does this mean if I run three North agendas, I need 6 power to win the game, which sounds a bit ridiculous?

Six additional power, yes.

I am very interested in how the Night's Watch decks work where their Agenda's requiring the additional power justifies the use. I tried assembling a quick Night's Watch deck last week and I wasn't able to generate very much power with it.

Just like the books... ;)

Sigh.... 21 power? Okay... Does anyone have good advice as to a good Night's Watch deck? I really don't like this desgin for Night's Watch. It seems weak.

Stark Army deck with just the INT Agenda, using NW characters to fill in the INT hole Stark Army decks usually have.

Same basic idea, but with Baratheon. Play the Intrigue agenda and the version of The Wall that turns Baratheon characters into NW characters, and suddenly you have yourself a whole bunch of bicons and tricons.

... but it is still possible to make good deck just from NW cards.I played several times and deck was always competitive. The wall, combination of John and Ghost and card that lower cost for victory(forgot name, sorry) are all must in deck.Next time I will put inside Mance Rayder, if I understand that card I can kneel it and cancel -2 victory penalty from one North agenda?

Correct.

You could try to build a control deck out of any house. A deck that tries to control the game first and then reach the victory total in power second doesn't really care if the number is 15 or 27. Back before the errata separated the Night's Watch and Wildling agendas, people used to play all six The North agendas in one deck and do pretty well.

I have a control NW deck that stalls out the game. It will win consistently in casual play, but has no tournament viability because it ends up taking so long to win the game.

So many comments.

I've already bought all six patches of Defenders of the North chapter. I'm gonna try to build a NW deck tonight. However, I recently found that with number of cards increasing dramatically, it's really a nightmare to find particular cards when I need them.

How do you guys manage your cards?

Where's the "like" button when you need one?

I found a really good thread here about card storage - just search for "storage" in the Search Forums feature and you'll find it. Lots of different ideas!
