Initiate of the citadel and HCIT combination

By Kordovan, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi,

Simple question: If I have "He calls it thinking" attached to one of my character and an initiate of the citadel,

may I bouce character and HCIT back with the initiate ( assuming HCIT is still an attachment) ?

You can't bounce the character back, because that's not what Initiate of the Citadel does (but I assume you didn't want to, anyhow). But you should be able to return He Calls It Thinking to your hand (which is a very neat idea, by the way).

@SAt: Oops, in fact i was confusing with the citadel of Oldtown, but you got the point the question concerned the attachment (if HCIT still remains an attachment as leaving the game).

Do you refer to the rules/FAQ or is it your opinion (what makes me very pleased if true gui%C3%B1o.gif)

At the moment the Initiate's ability acts on HCIT, it is an attachment. It's irrelevant what type the card is once it has become moribund, it's headed for your hand either way. I'm basing this on the fact that a card can change its card type, and the general timing structure of the game. I can't think of anything that would contradict this, but I may have missed something.

This could be good news and this char would be of much more interest!

Thas was my opinion too, many thanks Saturnine

(or any other ideas/invalidation)

Still no other opinions on the subject.

If Ktom did not make any reply, it could mean that we were right, aren't we??

Sorry. Didn't realize you were looking for another opinion since Saturnine's (entirely correct) reasoning that when it is an attachment, HCIT is only an attachment and is thus treated the same as any other attachment, comes directly out the FAQ's entry on "Card Type Changes to Attachment." Almost verbatim, in fact. gui%C3%B1o.gif
