WOW, I am loving those zombies! Makes me even more excited to get mine, though that will be awhile as I ordered them with the Revised Core Set from Miniature Market, and the Revised Core set is still on pre-order there...Still, gotta be patient!
Can't wait to see more stuff from you, you are getting better with each update!
Wish there was a "follow" option so I would be notified when to come see new pics of your awesomeness...
Took out the airbrush to the ammo crates and tank traps. Ready to be weathered.
great looking armies, I love how you are baseing different scenery on the different squads, very useful for when you field more than 1 of the same type of squad, consider that idea stolen!
My apes and zombies are just about done. Gotta detail up the bases and seal them still.
Lots more in my BGG Gallery.
Enjoy!
Hey there guys! After some time away doing other things, I'm going back to working on my Dust Tactics minis! I just wanted to post something here to let everyone know I'm getting back to it!
Pics soon to come!

Thanks man. I'm trying to come up w/ a color scheme for my troops. Seems to be the hardest part! I like the ones you've done a lot. I do like the classic germans in black/grey as well. Decisions...decisions.
No kidding. I just dropped $77 on paints today and I hope I bought the right colors that I will like on the minis.
Loving the boiler suits on those zombies, and the ammo crates look really authentic. Good work!
I've been sidetracked with some Super Dungeon Explore and other projects but I've now started work on Totenmeister!
some other angles up on my bgg gallery.
just needs a bit of weathering and then done!
Starting Grenadier X. Still deciding if I want to try cammo on him or not.
Went ahead with the camo and now I'm getting the base ready. Playing with the barbed wire.
More work done over the weekend!
Grenadier X almost done!
Sigrid based and base coated. Decided for a larger debris field for her since she comes with her foot up already.
Stefan started. Something I hadn't used for my bases yet was sandbags. I had to cut them almost in half and sand them down at an angle. Same as I would for the cork/plaster rubble.
Group shot. This is where I stopped for the night.
Stefan base coated.
Ready for washes when I get home from work. I'm going to try an oil wash for the first time on these. Excited to see how much better they'll work!
As always, click my sig for many more progress shots!
Continuing work on the previous heroes as well as adding in 3 more!
The oil wash worked amazingly!
Same for Stefan
..and Grenadier X!
Just a few highlights left for these and then the matte varnish to finish!
Angela base coated
Chef base coated
The Priest base coated
Updated group shot!
Great work. Inspiring stuff particularly those bases!
Thank you! The goal is that every hero/squad has their own base style. It really helps when looking at them from a distance.
Excellent stuff sir!
Can I ask, what is your recipe for your allied troops longcoats (page 1)? I'd like to replicate it.
Thanks =)
The first allies there are painted in "Khaki" from the Vallejo Game Color line. I want to say the green is "Cayman Green" also from the Vallejo Game Color line. That green matches the primer on the allies very well. You could even use the primer if you wanted to be extra careful painting the other bits.
The model is washed with Devlan Mud and then highlighted back up with Khaki again.
After that, I mix a bit of Vallejo Bone White with the Khaki for the top highlights.
I used various browns for the other troops armor/shoulder pieces but the techniques are all the same.
Thanks for looking!
Also, page 15 of my BGG gallery has the beginnings of those troops and way more in-progress shots. It might give you some help w/ seeing the steps. I try to document as much as I can while I'm painting.
Thanks again for looking and for the reply!

Could you give any advice on finding the bits you've added to the bases? (ie. girders, barbed wire, etc.) I've started colour coding the bases for each faction ( javascript:void(0);/*1334698403707*/ ) but I also want to differentiate between the units and I think your technique is genius.
I have 4 of them, 2 are very similar.
All are Tamiya 1/48 1/35 stuff.
There is a Jerry can supply one.
Brick Wall/Sandbags scroll down a bit for images.
Brick Wall (same walls as the previous one)
Sry, random bad formatting.
Thanks, Zuggzugg. Seems that Tamiya are the company of choice for 1/48 scale.
Started base work on Angela. I went for brick wall rubble. Drilled a few bullet holes in as well.
Some tank trap I-Beams for The Priest.
Kept it simple for The Chef
More pics coming tonight. I didn't take any pics of where I left off last night so I'll do that before I continue. The bases are already painted.
I also started on Manfred. Gave him Brown/Orange peadot and a bit of barbed wire on his base. I'll post him up tonight too!
Keep the feedback coming!
Thanks for looking!
