Howdy
People might be aware of my 10p Jenga "project" where I ruined a perfectly good copy of Jenga to make a card tower of sorts for Talisman. If not, you can read about it here - I have an idea to make another card holder projectâ„¢ - Project #38665412.
Whilst I was looking over a car boot sale today, I managed to snag two more copies of Jenga for 50 pence each, and thought I might as well look into making something useful with them. This time I figured it would be nice to have a go at making my miniature collection stand out a little more...

Take two copies of the game, which gives you 108 bits of wood to play with! My previous "attempt" is shown.

Stack them up in a "grandstand" to see how they look. You can see I have gone for a "6 high" arrangement.

Glue them together in layers ready to be put into one block.

Glue them into one block... (Duh!)

Affix felt pads to the base for stability and to stop scratching.

It's easy enough to add another "step" by gluing 7 blocks together (then 8 etc) - I had to go vertical rather than horizontal as I had already put the felt pads on!

Glue the "7 high" step to the rest of the wooden structure.

Stick the resulting bits of wood in your display cabinet and line up some figures on them. I find it is a lot nicer than having them all on one level and means you can see more detail at a glance.
I'm probably going to make a few more of these and do without the tower, though I might make a couple of smaller ones to mix it up a bit. perhaps 4 or 5 high. I can always add steps to them if it becomes necessary anyway...
I won't be painting them as I like the colour of the wood, and the Jenga logos just give it a certain something, so I have no problem with those.
I wonder what "Jenga 3 - The Return" might bring...
