Hi guys I got a technical question for you the Loki has the Past History built into the ship I was wondering can a Loki take ship backgrounds or is it unable due to the ship having the wolfs in sheap clothing past history

I would say no, personally.

As a matter of fact, if you ask the GM if you can put grand crusier components on your Viper-class sloop, and he says yes, then you can put the component in.

Unless someone can tell me that no Loki-class Q-ship ever ended up on a planet in useable condition, I cant see why you would not be able to have a history. It isnt exactly a devastating ship even when min-maxed.

It makes no sense to deny Q-ships (and other ships that have reselected backgrounds) from having other interesting histories. A least in game. For the initially first ship purchase (with ship points) i'd disallow a second background just to avoid throwing the numbers off. However, after that, if your players come across a Q-ship, i see no reason why it can't have 2 backgrounds. After all, one is in effect not a background, its a modification.
