Questions about Dark Ritual

By Doom1502, in Mansions of Madness

Hi Community.

We just played the third time, and the first time Scenario 2. A couple of questions popped up:

- Can cultists spawned AFTER a Dark Ritual still attack? (My guess is no, the card says "your cultists" but my keeper thought otherwise)

- Can you choose how many cultists participate in Dark Ritual (or is it automatically every cultist on the game board)? (if yes: and the other cultists that didn't participate could still attack? - same guess about the wording as for the previous question)

And an unrelated question because it occured: Does a new investigator, because he was killed and chose a new character, have to make horror tests for monsters that are in his/her starting room (Scenario 2 The Chapel i.e.) in his/her first turn as the new character?

Thanks!

#1: I would go with no, your cultists are the Keeper's cultists, whether they were in on the ritual or popped up after the ritual.

#2: I see no option to use only some of the cultists, if you use DR, all your cultists contribute. Best to use it when the Cultists are still far away from the investigators if you do want to attack them.

#3: I would guess so.
