What's the card text for these cards? It would be easier to get an answer if you could include the relevant card text (especially given how many different versions of Roberts there currently is).

1) I'd say you can't (or rather, you can kneel him, but the effect wil fizzle). KotS Robert changes the general rule that you can only play events from your hand and allows you to play certain events from the discard pile. Baelor's ability is absolute, though. You cannot play copies of event cards that are in your discard pile, period. There's nothing in Robert's text that would change that.

2) I'm really not sure what it is you're asking here. Yes, you can bring another copy of Pale Steel Link into play with Pale Steel Link. Yes, you can also bring another copy of the character PSL is attached to into play with PSL, provided that character has a printed cost of 1 or lower. If that character is unique, the second copy will attach to the character in play as a duplicate. No, you cant trigger the response on PSL more than once per phase. Does that answer the question?

I think what he's asking is the following: Can I kneel a Maester character with Pale Link attached to him, then trigger Pale Link to attach another Chain attachment to him, then trigger that Chain attachment in Response to the Maester character kneeling?

Robert doesn't actually move the event card out of your discard pile. So it is there in the discard pile, and subject to Baelor's ability, not allowing you to play an event "from your hand" if there is a card with the same name in the discard pile.

And the answer to that, of course, is "yes."

You mean the second chain attached to the same character will still benefit from the previous kneeling? Is this legal, how? Can someone elaborate this answer a bit more, pls. Thanks a lot.

There really isn't anything to elaborate on. There is nothing anywhere in the rules that says the Response effect must be in play when the Response opportunity is created. How useless would Responses on events be if this were true? And you'd never be able to use "after this card enters play" (including "after this card comes out of Shadows") Responses.

So it doesn't matter if the chain attachment is in play when the character kneels. It only matters that the chain attachment is in play while the "after this character kneels" Response opportunity created in that window is open.
