Hi,
When the president sees the two cards at the outset of her turn, must she keep what she knows secret or can she hold a discussion with the group to determine the best course of action? Thanks!

I believe she must keep this secret. Otherwise you ruin all the fun for Cylon players!
The more secrets the more fun, atleast in this game
Secret! Despite the wishy-washy examples of our own presidents, the President should have enough wits to make the right decision on their own. That's the price of power. If you don't want to make those hard decisions, give the job to someone else. If you make a decision that turns out to be unpopular... welcome to politics.
My last game had the admiral flopping down both choices because he thought it funny that they were exactly the same card. I asked him not to do that, but he did it again next jump. I had to put my foot down then. It's just not fair to the Cylon players to show what your choices are.
