AWESOME BATTLE REPORT! You gentlemen do this game much justice. Keep up the awesome work!
sounds like you had a good time great pics
Looks like you had fun. The models look great and the walls make the battlefield interesting.
I've not managed to read every bit yet but the following did jump out at me:
"TURN 5:
The Americans won the initiative roll and the Hot Dog fired on Sigrid’s Laser Grenadiers. In the after math Sigrid limped away towards the Kommandotrupp with only one wound left. The Luther came out of the ruined building and finished off the Combat Rangers. The BBQ Squad moved of the objective and shot the Luther with everything they had and gave it three damage
before the Kommandotrupp repaired one after they called in a Ludwig.
The Boss Squad moved over to cover the objective and tried to call in for reinforcements but failed. Rosie’s squad fired at the Battle Grenadiers and killed two. The 2 remaining men from the Gunners squad ran out of cover and killed 1 Recon Grenadiers but were both killed in the return fire."
It isn't possible for a command squad to attempt a repair and call in reinforcements in the same round. The rulebook states that you can only use (or try to use) one Command Squad special ability per round.
Excellent pics...looks like much fun.
But...uh oh...saw a target. White helmet w/ red cross. Looks like sniper-bait, LOL. I keep hearing Bill Cosby's old skit running on about steel wool. "Get this red cross off of my @#$%! helmet! (not verbatim).
Love the terrain stuff too. Giving me ideas...
@ FlorisH,
Yeah, I checked the rulebook, looks like you can't do that, but no matter, it was still a great game.
@Lotus,
Actually in WWII, the White Helmets with Red Crosses were for the medics. The Germans and the Americans tended not to shoot at the medics on the other side. On the Pacific however, the Japanese were told to shoot the medics/corpsmen first.
If anyone needs DUST Tactics minis painted, I have a service here including getting you the models at very low discount prices:
Best Battle Repoprt so far!
Fantastic report! I love your smoking walker spewing out black smoke when damaged
Yes, better make good use of those covers. Troops in DT die fast when left in the open. You should compile all your battle reports with all the pictures into a book to be read like a war story
