Is there currently anything that the warpstone actually does? Are there any cards that gain benefits from the warpstone keyword?

Few keywords are referenced by cards right now, Warpstone isn't among them, so it doesn't matter in any way. It seems like keywords will be more important in the future, but to what extent and which ones remains to be seen.

Yeah the previews to the next cycle of battle packs seems to hint at more focus on keywords, but we will see!

Actually this trend with traits is very good sign! I would love to see more of it. There are a lot of them not yet in use. Traits can create very nice synergies allowing us to create more combo decks with cards that are not currently in use

My HElf deck lives and dies on whether Dragon's Lair gets Dragon units with the ability or not.

Naming Warpstone keyword is confusing. It is a trait as opposed to scout/... being a keyword. Traits do not bring rules them from themselves. leywords do.
