I was thinking after seeing a friend of mine's Tyranid Hunters for 40k and was thinking why not make a squad look like veterans of hunting gorillas. I figure make them look like space wolves and add cloth and stuff to them with Gorilla heas on shoulders or something. Haven't gotten any model ideas yet just thought I would discuss it b4 I do it. Any ideas?

You know that is a really good idea. Just that my take on it is the Gorillas doing the headhunting stringing allied helmets together to make trophy necklaces.

A squad designed specifically to hunt Gorillas would be cool though. High powered hunting rifles, special traps, bananas.

Same for a undead hunting squad. Crosses, stakes, other weapons of superstitious folk, (nothng that works since these are science undead, not supernatural undead).

Now thats a real good ideal Zombie Slayers. Rabbi Weitz and the Zombie Slayers 5 man unit shotguns ,grenade launcher 1 medic and Rabbi Weitz himself . On a Mission from God to exterminate the reanimated filth . Cards started just gotta paint the minis.

As for the zombies I thought of that too but why not just modify the BBQ squad since they are already the perfect zombie hunting squad

As a frantic monkey-hater (for unknown reasons, these beasts have always scared the **** out of me), I totally sympathise with your idea.

I guess they could wear heavily padded armour suits, a bit like the hazmat soldiers you can briefly see during the finale of Alien 3.

Indeed, they would use vicious traps to utterly destroy their preys ... long metal spears, tipped with explosive ... only way to be sure ... of course, flamers would be a must-have for these guys. I don't think such squads would favor the use of overly long range weaponry, I 'd rather imagine them maddened by hatred, eagerly searching contact with their intended targets and fighting them eyeball to eyeball.

Maybe they could even apply the adage " turn your foe's weapons against themselves", and cannibalize their massive gauntlets.

I, for one, would avoid to stick bananas on the models, as it would produce a humorous effect and discredit their visual identity (monkey-hunting is a serious matter, for Frakk's sake !!).

Use a larger base for the leader, and make a small diorama reproducing this infamous scene in "Gorillas in the Mist", when Sigourney discovers the decapitated body of the large ape.

Well I got 2 ideas for he Gorilla Hunter either 1 use the heavy reapers or 2 use recons.
