my list of dumb rules questions for the day:

(1) situation: a character has two duplicates attached, the player who controls the character attempts to discard one of them to save that character, and an opponent cancels that attempt with "he calls it thinking". can the controlling character then use the second duplicate in a second attempt to save the character? both duplicates add to the character the same text, so it seems that once the first duplicate was canceled and discarded, the second duplicate cannot be used because it would do so using the same gained ability that the first duplicate used to try to save the character. it seems there are arguments for the other side too, though, considering that the first dupe is discarded, and the text used is now provided by the second dupe alone. which is correct?

(2) I suspect the answer is no, but can you use the Pale Steel Link to play the various chambers cards like Queen Cersei's Chambers? They say they may be played as attachments, not put into play as attachments, but just checking.

1) Despite being identical and on the same card, they are two separate abilities just as two identical abilities (i.e. 2x Lost Oasis) on two separate cards are separate abilities. Since they are separate, the player is not triggering the same response when using the second duplicate, and could use it to try and save the character.

2) They actually say "play", but "play" and "put into play" are not the same. You cannot use the link to put them into play as attachments.
