Str Zero

By klye, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I've been trying to find where in the rules it states whether you can or cannot declare a str 0 character as an attacker ot defender.

It does mention in the core rules that you need at least a STR of 1 to WIN a challenge... but that doesn't mean its prevented from attacking.

Sooo.... if my dragon (Str 4) has an attachment that gives it -4 str, can I still attack with it in conjunction with someone else? That way I could still use the dragons stealth ability.

Oh... and WHERE in the core rules or FAQ is the offical ruling?

Well, there's absolutely nothing preventing you to declare a 0-STR character as an attacker of defender. In fact, you could attack with your 0-STR Dragon alone and then raise its STR above 0 to win the challenge. If you cannot do that, a 0-STR attacker can always be a participating character so as to use Stealth, Renown or other interesting effects (but you cannot win a challenge if your total STR is 0).

Exactly. Since there isn't anything preventing a 0-STR character from participating in a challenge, it can.

How did your Dragon get an attachment? IIRC, all Dragons have the "No attachments" keyword.

Like ktom likes to say, (paraphrased) "If the rules don't tell you something, don't add to the rules".

We missed the "no attachments" on the dragon at the time. We are new at the game.

But thanks for answering this hypothetical question.
