Avi and I have played a Skype game before. That took a long time because of logistics. But wrangling in Dam would be problems, for a few reasons:
- He plays his AOs/heralds/whatever else in a very strict order, and so may not be up for playing anything out of order.
- I don't think he'd try Kingsport, even if it was our copies.
- Our takes on house rules and custom components vary greatly.
- He's in Finland. Even considering the current US daylight savings time when it's in our favor, he's six hours ahead of me, and I'm three ahead of Avi. If Dam didn't mind wrapping up at midnight then Avi would need to get in the game at 11am.
Though you're right. Our three playstyles will vary by a lot and would be an event worth watching in and of itself. It's a shame/relief that we wouldn't be able to go at each others' throats.
We could take out Kingsport. He could take his stick out of his... Aherm, rigidity of order. We could not use house rules, and possibly not even custom components (although I do enjoy them, perhaps not in a Dam game, ****!) The time differences aren't that big an issue on the weekend. Problems solved! ::Laughter:: honestly, I think to win we'd have to match Dam's playing style, I don't think he'd be willing to match ours ;'D
While we can't go at each other's throats, we can scream a lot, and that's fun too ;'D
I think what I really need to do is design a jpeg image of the maps for easy print outs, and that'd make the skype game flow probably half an hour to an hour smoother.
::nodding:: Julia's interested. Gu.
