Also remember that the Germans are no longer fighting for their country and expansion after the assasination of Hitler. They are on a mission to take over the world to protect it from the aliens. This isnt WWII, that fizzled out , this is a cold war for the VK assets needed to fight the aliens. The Reich knows why they want the VK deposits . The Allies and the SSU seem to want the VK deposits for its miracle properties in industryl use. I think only the Reich knows the severity of the threat the world is facing and will use any means neccessary to fight it . And yes I am really glad the SS and Nazis are out of the picture for the most part . It will make it a lot easier to market this game in Europe and no swastikas .

Its true, it will be easier to market Sans Swastikas. But Nazis make such great villains. And I doubt the entire Reich/Axis know about the aliens. Probably only very few within High Command actually know that. And only a few of them even know that,

I keep forgetting that the "war" has ended, to a certain extent. I guess with very little fluff released for the game (as the fluff in the comics, the board game, the sourcebook from Dust Models and so forth all conflict) its easy to overlook.

It is good to remember that french and italian units should be taken and treated in different versions.

During the Italian Civil War that started in 1943 the regions of the self appointed Republic of Salò were fighting for Axis, the regions of the Italian Republic fought at the side of the Allies.

The Italian Army splitted in two.

Many Italian units could finally revolt against the fascist regime and fight for something they believed right. Some of them were immediately attacked and eliminated to the last man despite the valor of the Italian defenders, like the sad events of the "Massacre of Cefalonia".

French too was an army that had to fight on both fronts due to bad luck during the first months of the war, the Free French army and the French Army are two different things.

Perhaps one day we will even see the South American theatre of Dust... it could be interesting to see the Brazilians.

A good scenario could be staged on Iceland, stating to the world map, the three major factions are all on the island.
