UK UFS Facebook Plans

By Viewtiful_Joe, in UFS Uk Forum

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Facebook, but I know that a lot of people are, and that it'd be a great way for people to get pulled into UFS. I'm thinking of creating a group for UK UFS players so that discussions can be held there with new and old players alike. The idea came to me as I've been told to make up a Facebook account for Inkworx (our tattoo studio) and I thought that while I'm having to check on there a lot that we can display to people the fun of UFS.

Would everyone be up for that?

Do you think it would actually do anything to help the playerbases?

The trouble is that while it wouldn't take forever to do something like this, I don't want to end up wasting my time. I think that we should be doing everything possible to pull new players in all the time, as thats part of the fun of the game, to see fresh new faces and make new friends. As much as I'm not keen on Facebook itself, it might be a good way for us to get into contact with one another as well with regards to events and the like. We can post photos up on there to show the fun we're having to other people and ultimately add another brick to our foundations (no pun intended).

well that sounds like a great idea but it would mean that i would have to get my account fixed as it at the moment i cant post stuff on forms on it but that is easy to fix. It would be a great way to get poeple intrested. I understnd the concern as some poeple dont like facebook but hay for this game to progress we need to put it out there.

Facebook gets things noticed one way or another, i'm sure lots of people would be happy to sign up - I would anyway.

Fantastic idea Joe!

The store in Exeter in run stuff for has a Facebook page and it makes organising and promoting tournaments a lot easier! It can easily be used to promote big tournaments etc

Thumbs up from me!

Great! Well, I'm not the best versed person on Facebook in the world, so I might need some help, but I think if we work together that it could work really well :D

I'll start thinking up some ideas later. I've got a couple of photos from Team Nats still and a couple from Bevan's B-Day tournament, so it's a start :)

Right, well the group UK Universal Fighting System (UFS) is up on Facebook now if everyone can join and start posting asap, that would be great, I've put up a Set 11 discussion to start everything off and you'll have to tell me whether the description is adequate to pull new people in.

Apart from the fact u told new players to ask if they are intresting, HEHE, (i think u mean interested joe) it all looks great, so lets get it buisey! (is that the right spelling? Shame on me if it aint!)

Well, we've got quite a few members after only 2 days, so good work everyone! But we're by no means done yet! Ask everyone you know who's ever played either any kind of CCG or the computer games to join the group.

My aim is to overtake the number of members in the already existing UFS Facebook group made by the Americans, and we may be able to manage it if we put our heads together :D . We've got 117 to beat as far as I'm aware, so text/email everyone who you know to play UFS or used to and get them involved as well.

Also, if anyone wants to post photos and stuff appropriate to the cause, let me know and I'll make you an admin so you can post them up there. I'm looking at whoever took the photos up at SF Nats for starters...

Keep it up gui%C3%B1o.gif

Could you post up a link for this group please as I can't find it on facebook and I want to join.

Sounds like a great idea!

I've got a facebook account (in an, "I was told to get one" kind of way) that I've never used. I'll figure out how to use it and hopefully see you all over there.
