I really like this rumor's fail condition, but what is the wording exactly? Are all spells in play going to the box? Or all spells and the spell deck?

I think the epic battles decks are getting ridiculously large... Red cards will never be seen. I'm considering house ruling that three randomly selected green cards go on top of the deck, and that's it. What do you think guys? Too harsh? Four?

Avi, remember that all eight new Epic Battle cards instruct you to draw a new one after. That means that you still have eight rounds of green before the red. These new cards do not decrease your chances of seeing reds (except the ones that make the game harder).

I'm using the same technique I've always been, except now I'm adding two green cards per seal instead of one.

Unending Darkness

Ongoing Effect: Place 10 clue tokens on this card. When a monster moves from the street area or a location to the sky or into a vortex (on either the dunnwich or innsmouth boards), remove a token.

Pass: If each investigator is Blessed, return this card to the box. Each investigator has his max sanity increased by 1. Any player with 1 or more madnesses may choose to discard one.

Fail: If the number of clue tokens on this card is less than the terror level, return it to the box. All players discard all spells and then return the spell deck is returned to the box for the rest of the game.

No gate but two doom tokens are added tot he doom track. and moon monsters move black while plus monsters move white.

Thanks :') aaaand, I also just got my copy.

No show in the UK. Give us a couple of spoilers to help alleviate the wait... ;)

Esdevium mailing list says it's out tomorrow.

Well... I haven't really detected any exploitable patterns yet (if anything, the increase of expansion encounter frequency reduces them considerably), but I have noticed that the card text in the new Kingsport encounters seems drastically improved. I thought it was rather dull originally. And I love how the injuries and madness seem delightfully paired with the injuries and madnesses that will kill you. You'll see ;'D

I haven't heard anything about dual-color OW cards. I take it there aren't any?

That would be sad. But, at least I pasted over the original yellow-blue with a Lost Carcosa/Hastur encounter. So now, with revised Dark Pharaoh, I can have that one and the Shub one! Huzzah

If I remember right, you didn't like the idea of fighting Shub in an Other World. Maybe because she is more of an abstract concept than a monster? While Hastur, Ithaqua and Cthulhu are actual fiends that can be fought?

That is correct. Partly, Shub is a god while the others are demigods. It's like accidentally bumping into and fighting time, or deceit. Another reason is that with Cthulhu and Ithaqua, you're guaranteed to get at least one attack—with Shub it's highly likely that you don't have any monster trophies (since nobody at the time started with any). Lastly, I found nothing thematically tying Shub to Yuggoth.

Then again, I've read stories about the sudden physical encroachment of Shub or Azathoth, so it's not out of the question. And, now I don't have to choose which encounter to have. Why not have both? lengua.gif

Well... I've gone through most of the cards at this point... Snow drifts is amazingly nasty. I spent a bit of time imagining how it would actually play out. If that environment stays in play for 4 or 5 turns, you basically have a bunch of one movement investigators and it's game over from gate limit (unless you close a few gates without sealing just out of sheer desperation). What a nasty nasty card... I like it ;'D

I would just assume some mi-go summoned her. Besides trying to codify Mythos beings into categories based on our own perception of the universe would be an arbitrary task at best. Shub-Niggurath is and that's all that matters. happy.gif
