Is earth the best symbol to dual symbol for attacks?

Edit: See next post for what I said. Stupid crappy edit function >_<

Also how is will for the fight not the greatest foundation ever :P

Experienced Combatant and Order and Law would like a word, sucka.

And especially Military Rank. Guile misses his chin =(

Kyoshiro is friggin' beastly on any of his symbols, with or without that draw ability. 7/20 with THAT symbol spread is extremely powerful, given that it has access to a lot of the more powerful cards available at this time, PLUS the fact that many of them match multiple symbols (Forethought, Cutting Edge, Program Malfunction, KOF 2006, and so on). **Huitzi** just got really, really gross with the influx of Hugo support to get rid of that silly handsize restriction, too...

Fred... I'm want to steal that Leona idea for my area's first block 3 tournament in a two Mondays. Do you run Rejection for when you lose the coinflip?

I don't lose coin flips :P. I dont have the deck off hand but its some combo of the following cards, i keep changing it so i dont remember whats in it off hand:

Leona
Tag Along
The anti K
Ways of Punishment
King of fighters 2006
the glare from the abyss
Tae Kwon Do Zephyr
Blinding Rage
Iga Master
Dancing Battle Kabuki
Origins Unknown
Ocladans Mentoring
will for the fight
distractable
battle Prowess
end it all
Inhuman Perception
rejection
speak the truth
will of Iron
Valeras Shop
Big Cyclone
Reverse Flayer

Earth is great on its own. Once I get back home, I'm putting together an Earth Deck fronting Starter Sagat with HPB+PRice of Foolishness as the kill condition. Though I won't be using Revenant's (my hand is too important) nor KOF 2006 (*** does the job better), I do expect the deck to be very strong. And should that kill condition not work out so well, Sardine's is in my side board as of right now.

Earth can seriously keep itself alive. Like, Battle Prowess, Altered Mind and Body, Red Cyclone of Mother Russia to name a few. Now imagine a deck with throws as your attacks. Hell i'll feel weird if i'm not gaining 6 vitality a turn if all goes well.

Fixed for accuracy, unless Dhalsim has a new insane character-readying tech I hadn't heard about ;)

I think you mean asset readying

Oro? [i hate myself]

Dhalsim can switch the speed and damage of an attack by committing himself. So Dhalsim makes the first throw irrelevant, but if Hugo can pull another one out of his throw-place then Dhalsim will be unable to switch the speed and damage... unless he has an insane ready tech I hadn't heard about. Come to think of it, Soul Burner could ready him after he blocks a mid-zone throw, but that's a 9-diff block on symbols I don't think he even has.

dhalsim comits a foundation for his abilitiey. unless i have more throws then he has foundations i am screwed.

also his character ability only switches the speed and damage of HIS attack. His asset on the other hand switches the speed and damage of any attack...

I just look at dhalsim in my binder. i have been cheated. you will pay blind prophet!

I should read cards, eh?

Man, what a threadjack. Back on-topic to some extent... Big Cyclone remains one of the 2 anti-discard abilites in block 3. It's not completely game-changing, but is certainly enough to give an opponent pause before using their Ways of Punishment. Plus it sets up for some major bluff/mindgame opportunities around Olcadan's; feed you all 3/4 of your Ways, and dare them to walk into the Cyclone.

^ I will absolutely do that. My plan for Yoshitora only runs 7 attacks - 4 Darkness Blade and 3 Big Cyclone. That with Fight or Flight is insanely brutal. Works very well in Raphael as well.

I use big cyclone in Hugo. It's also great tech with water. I run 4x in my version of :::Dhalsim:::
