No idea. I do not play Matriarchy, and I do not know any players that do. But I will start playing them after the next two games, so I will give my input when I will have gathered some experience.

I always play Zor'ka with her Stamina pack so she rolls 5 dice in her shock rolls. Sometimes I give her the bonus token Masque of Samhain so opposing characters have to defeat her in a Mental Duel before they can attack her. When Zor'ka has used her Awakening token and has an empty equipment slot, she should pick up a good weapon from a crate or a character already killed.

To support Zor'ka, I play Irina and Irishka with their Stamina packs. Irina adds +1 to everybodys Stamina value when using her Stamina pack, Irishka can repair Zor'ka and has a great hand-to-hand weapon. One of them could be equipped with the bonus token "Call in the troops" to return destroyed Voivodes to play.

I have to admit that usually, when I play the Matriarchy in Deathmatch mode, all my characters except Zor'ka are killed, but the opponent looses because he is unable to kill Zor'ka.
