want to use some of the thinks in The Witcher in my campaign. Any idea?

By dosan, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I want to incorporate some of the elements of The witcher books and games to my Warhammer world, but i want advice for how to do it, and what elements do you believe are more easy to incorporate to it. Particulary, i want to make witchers in my version of Warhammer world, and also want to show how humans alienate other races, maybe even populate the world with more monsters from Andrzej Sapkowski books . Any suggestions is welcome!

I get the feeling a witcher per se would be potentially overpowered. Otherwise, you'd have to craft a major alchemy system for the game, since the majority of the Witcher's powers come from potions and mutagens.

Which is not to say it isn't doable. It is. It's just a lot of work, and you'd have to be careful not to make the witcher too powerful.

That being said, most of the monsters in the books are standard fantasy fare with twists to them and non-traditional names (or maybe they are the polish names for the beasts). You could probably play with the monster powers to twist vampires and ogres and such to be more like their witcher counterparts though without much difficulty.

Thanks! Really want to put the intrigue and non human struggle in Warhammer, although it will be difficult, i hope i can find a way, at least for doing something similar to a witcher. REally love The witcher 1 &2 videogames, also the short stories.

TheFlatline, just a question, why do you believe witchers will be overpowered in the warhammer setting? Just want to know the reasons, since most of my witcher knowledge comes from the videogames and 1 or 2 short stories, one of them "the last wish"

Thanks
