I'll be running a demo in about a month, and was wondering if anyone knew of a character repository that I could pull PCs from. The alternative is making them myself, but that takes time I'd rather use writing the scenario.

you might try the dark reign website, they have some PC backgrounds and stats, i think. there is also a character generator for download, which speeds up character creation.

Perhabs I have one or two pre-generated chars in the needed range

Please take not that this pre-gens "doe not come equipped" (Stats and miniscule background; no weapons or gear unless need to emphasize some part of the char).
