How does Catelyn interact with Lord of Light, Protect Us? Mainly ignoring the 3 asshai part.

I have a feeling you can't activate the event due to Catelyn's activation being in the hand, but I thought I'd ask to make sure.

Well, I was actually referring to whether the "Put her into play" part was the "cost" of triggering her ability. That's kinda where the part I'm curious about comes into factor. If it's a cost, she must stay in play unless I choose to bounce her, which I wouldn't. Then she'd be forced to stay in play, so she can't bounce back to her owner's hand.

Costs are the X part of "do X to do Y." Catelyn is simply "do Y," so she doesn't have a cost. Putting her into play is the effect, not a cost.
