Premium Hermann and Honey

By Dcal12, in Dust Tactics General Discussion

I received the premium edition Honey and Hermann today. On the Honey you have a rider standing up, like on the picture. This is different than the regular Honey released. The other thing I noticed, on the regular Honey it had hoses from just below the phasers to the side of the shield, these hoses are not on the premium model, leaving a couple holes and a pin sticking out, that looks a little out of place. I am still very satisfied with the purchase.

On the Hermann the differences I noticed were that like on the card you have what appears to be a cap or hatch on the top which is exactly like the premium model I received. On the regular Hermann you have instead what could be some type of radar or something. Also on the regular Hermann you have a box shaped vent on the back, whereas on the premium model you have a thing sticking out with four round things that are exactly like the two round things on the right side of the model (opposite side of the Laser). Again not complaining, just pointing out the differences.

In about the next hour I will post pictures or attempt to. Sometimes I can post them sometimes I can’t. As always if I can’t post them, I am sure the Major can help me, he usually comes to my rescue on posting pictures. The pictures will also include the walkers that I painted. Nothing can make your paint job look worse than placing them next to professional paint jobs, so be gentle. My bases are just flat grey, I have not decided what I want to do with them, and so until I do they are just grey.

BTW if anyone else receives a premium Honey walker, let me know if you had the hoses that are missing on mine. Thanks

Be Gentle ? Why, from what I see there your paint job seems to be the superior product .

darn cant edit my previous comment ! Hope you entered the painting contest.

Thanks dude, I am trying to figure out what to do with the bases.

So the two Axis walkers are the same but have this many differences? That is interesting. How do they explain that: Is one by Porsche and one by Henchles(sic)??

And your paint job is awesome. I am so going to rip this scheme off for my walkers!!! How did you do it??

Thanks Grand. As far as my paint job, I just cut up some of that blue tape, painters use, in different shapes, then spray lightly with a white paint. Remove the tape, then do a little detailing. Then I use quickshade and spray with antishine matt varnsih from The Army Painter.

I just really wish I could figure out what to do with the bases. I want to stick with the winter theme.

BTW, I contacted Dust Tactics and they are sending me the missing parts for the one walker. They were real cool about it.

I totally did not think of using tape to do it. That will save so much time too. I like the base color they come with, so this will be awesome. How do they explain the differences?

As far as the bases are concerned, I for one do not like all the rocks and grass people put on a base. I might flock mine in white and grey, with a little stone, but none of this "in desperate need of a lawn service" stuff I see.

Dcal, actually I like yours more than the premium ones. The premium ones look like they just came out from the showroom or are taking part in a parade. At least yours look like front line units and they did take part in some fire fight.
