Premade Campaign

By Tonest Denon-bor, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

Does anybody have any premade campaigns or no where I can find one? I know there is the one for first level but I am looking for more than just a one level thing. This is the first time I am using this system and am still a bit confused on how to write some things. I figure reading a campaign may help me get a better idea of how others play Anima.

Thanks.

I haven't heard of any ''Premade Campaings'', Though I've heard that in the GM's toolbox there's suppose to be one.

Im used to the d20 system. But i find it fairly easy to write a own campaing In ANIMA . I would get the GM screen , or maby you allrdy have it ? Helps out ALOT ! If you want any tips for modefiers or ''tests'' which the players will have to face, check around with some other people, or watch in movies , would it be hard or would it be easy to jump from a building to another ?

If you want any more tips , post again , or mail me :)

I do know one thoug, a book called something like ''gaia: beyond dreams'' which is more of a source book (i would say) but it's not a ''campaing''

Just thought i might add it.

I think there is Anima: Shadow of Omega, or something. I don't really like pre-made campaigns though.

There is indeed a premade campaign in the GM Toolkit. It takes players from lvl 1 to lvl 3. Originally designed to be used with the premades (also in the kit), however it isn't hard to justify another player character in it. In addition in Gaia: Beyond the Dreams there are plenty of plot hooks listed for each area of the old continent that can give you various campaign ideas for characters of various levels. Plenty of background info for the areas involved as well. I found it to be quite useful.

As other have mentioned the GM toolkit comes with a great starter module to start off an Anime campaign. The only other module I know of is called Nightmares Become True, though imo its not a very good module.

edit: These forums really suck for trying to add links

edit 2: Blah the download link is dead anyways. Its from a site called Project Anima (I think its a french site but the pdf is in English). I can email it if anyone is looking for it

The GM's Toolkit and Nightmare Becomes True are the only two adventures that are out there. The first is good and the second is lacking. Neither are really campaigns though and could be finished in a few sessions at most.

I have considered using Council of Thieves for Pathfinder as a base for an Anima campaign. It may require some reskinning and restructuring but otherwise would be a good start.

I wanted to do something similar with the Pathfinder campaign Carrion Crown.

I won the campaign setting book, it's it's relatively wasy to re-locate areas from the Inner Sea world of Pathfinder to Gaia of Anima. Only trouble I have is figuring out the best way to convert creatures from Pathfinder (D&D3.5 variant) to Anima.

If anyone has any experiance in doing this, please share. ^^

Thanks

I have done some conversion to Anima from other materials, as there are very few monsters in the English books, and nothing for summoners who don't use invocations. Where are all the species of demons, or even guidelines on their attributes at various levels, I wondered? What other creatures are hiding in the dark places of the world besides the Grendel?

The answer is, until They Walked Among Us is translated into English, every GM is going to have to make their own monster manual. However - there is a Bestiary pdf in French which can be put through Google Translator, and it contains a pretty good selection of creatures, waaay more than in the currently available books. It can take a bit of the time off your development tasks.

Aside from that, you pretty much have to build everything yourself. If you must do it, and you have a campaign supplement you really like and want to play (Pathfinder), then by all means, transfer it. What I do is, develop a few standard NPC templates, one for fighters, and that has the fields for the stats you need to know about magic, psi, and Ki. Then I do NPC/Creature conversions, rule adaptations, and reconfigure any tables that require other dice (if you want). At the back of the main Anima rulebook, there is a section that gives guidelines on how to convert D-20 content into Anima.

Its a pretty serious project, but once its done, you will be able to use it in Anima forever. I have a 60 page supplement right now that contains a new magical Path (all spells), a bestiary/manual of planes, special items and locations, new house rules, and a starting adventure. It took me about 3 weeks to get it formatted, but its mostly done now, and I just add to it as the campaign grows.

I might release part of it (the low level demons) to help other new GMs figure out how to build things for summoners. Speaking of which, you can find a number of things like this that other GMs have shared - you can search here or check out Modules and Adventures at the other Anima forum.

May your work be enjoyable, and the time pass swiftly.

Hey Hellgeist. I don't suppose you'd mind sharing any of that supplement you've created? It sounds awesome. I know I'd be curious to see all (or part..house rules, new magic, items, anything really) of it!
