howdy folks
What colors are the primer base coats?
Closest I found was Narloc Green from Games-Workshop's Foundation Paints. If you ink them with Devlan Mud the paint on Narloc it looks really nice.

I find Knarloc Green a bit too off. As I said over in BGG, the GW Adeptus Battlegrey is pretty close (you could notice if you stick your face on the model though). I use Knarloc Green as a highlight on the green in fact.
yeah I saw that there too
I wouldn't mind doing more of a desert yellow kind of color for my allies but I hate GW's desert yellow and also I don't want to paint over the decals or add the waterslide kind afterwards. I figured the ones already on the models will look good after I shade and weather everything, since they'll get weathered too.

To get the GW Imperial Guard Cadian like scheme, you can use Khemri Brown and paint Desert Yellow over it. And GW does make a terrible Desert Yellow...
Good idea, maybe I'll try that. I'm planning to do just 1 solid color as random camo splotches like the photo on the cards.. for axis I'm using fortress gray (I think, the lighter one)... and then for the men I'd do the dark gray armor and light gray clothing.. and same idea for the allies just dark green & desert yellow. Maybe I'll try vallejo's equivalent .. I just hate how the GW version is so transparent, it's like you're painting with dirty water...
Posted a comparision picture of the colors over on BGG:
