By Squall10, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

greeting everyone ! ^w^

I've just bought the Anima beyond fantasy core rulebook. and i've already started making a sample charecter (just to get a view of how it is done.

I've encountered a problem , or well ''problem''. It's with the life points on the charecter sheet. What does ''No multiple'' mean? base is the base lp of my charecter (with in this case is 110) CLASS i guess would be my bonus (the charecter is a shadow ) and now we come back to another Multiples? Can somebody help me with this ? I've been having loads of problems with this sad.gif

Multiples are a number that get multiplied by some other number (usually an attribute) and added to the total of something else :P Its not as complex as it sounds though. Remember since it is a multiple your start value is already 1.

Your lifepoints is actually calculate by this formula: 20+10*CON + (1+life point multiple)*CON modifier+class bonus + misc bonuses.

For example suppose you're playing a shadow with 8 con (+10 modifier) and your base life points would be: 110 (pg 14 table 3).

Shadows have a class bonus of +5 (page 35). Now it costs them 20pts to buy life point multiples. Suppose they buy 2 for 40DP.

Their lifepoints would be: 20+8*10+(1+2)*10+5 = 135

Or just

110+multiple*Modifier+class bonus = 110+2*10+5 = 135

Now another type of multiple is zeon accumulation. Suppose your playing a wizard with a POW of 10. That wizards base accumulation would be: 10 (pg 109 table 53). Now suppose the Wizard spent 90DP to increase his zeon accumulation by 3, this would change their zeon accumulation to: 10*4 = 40

I am fairly new, so I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that you do not use your CON modifier when you buy multiples, you simply use your CON score. So a CON of 8 would award 8 per multiple (instead of 10), a CON of 5 would add 5 (instead of 0) and a CON of 3 would add 3 (instead of -10)

Also, it would cost a wizard 150DP to increase his ZA multiple by 3, though this does not have anything to do with LP.

So depending on how many points i want to offer i get a number of multiples?

If I offer 40dp as you said , I will have a x2 so then i add my constitution (which is +10)so it would be 20? in this case? (so in No Multiple ill wright in 2, because i spended 40dp to get x2 right?) then i got my class bonus +5 so it would go in the Class box.

In this case i would have 135 lp ? im just wondering where it's being written down ^^''

Hmmm what do you know its based on CON score not modifier. Probably going keep that as a house rule though since LP multiples are kind of poor enough using the modifier instead of the score :S (my house rule with LP multiples was to use the mod and if you have a negative in con always treat the mod as +5 in terms of calculating the increase in LP).

Let me try this again. If you have 8con you have a base LP of 110. Shadow's get +5LP per level. If you spend 40DP for 2 LP multiples it would increase your LP by 16 for a total of 131 (the LP multiple rules are on page 14).

thank you lia and wizuriel (hope i got the spelling right!) you have been to very mutch help !
