Tricky question... Call for help

By ktei2008, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Okay, here's the scenario:

Opponent attacks me with a character (3 STR, Intrigue). Right after he finishes declaring attackers and before I declare defenders, I think there is an action window where I can play actions (right?). So, during this action window, I kneel Shaggydog (LoW) to reduce that character's STR to 1, and then kneel Grey wind (LoW) to kill that character... Then, I put down Catelyn (LoW) and kneel her as defender for this intrigue attack.

My question is:

1. Can I kill that attacking character in this way?

2. How to resolve the challenge? I mean, I've knelt Shaggydog to lower the enemy's STR to 1 and Catelyn has 3 STR, so do I win this challenge as defender?

3. Am I playing anything wrong?

Thank you very much for your help guys!

All correct, if you put Catelyn first, because if you kill the only participating character, then challenge immediately ends without resolution. Also note, that Catelyn is put into play knelt as defender - you don't kneel her - it's not declaration.

Very clear. Thank you for your help! By the way: in this case, the Stark wolves are truly monsters... killing others like beasts! Excellent! Also, Catelyn is in my opinion one of the best cards in House Stark...
