turnabout

By maida_16, in UFS Rules Q & A

my opponent plays an attack then plays the multiple ability, after the first attack resolves, in response i play turnabout and using mina's response, i copy it again. i play the multiple ability of the first one. my question is how does this resolve? opponents main attack, my response, then his multiples? or my multiples? how about the second copy from turnabout then i play its multiple ability again?

resolves in this order:

their attack, your TA, your TA's multiples (which will be 4/2, 0m0d attacks), then your 2nd TA, then their multiples

so the multiple copies created by turnabout will have 0 damage?

uhh shouldnt be. lol

i need someone to clarify this

This is awkward.

As Turnabout doesnt have any printed speed or damage, the multiples will only copy the printed speed and damage (which is 0). However, TA states it becomes an exact printed copy of the attack. Does this overrule the lack of printed speed and damage?

there is no awkwardness, it's pretty straightforward:

the multiples gain the 'printed stats' of the original attack. this means that they only copy the baseline stats. this is to eliminate the confusion on whether if you pumped up the original attack, if the multiples copy the stats of the now-increased speed/damage. the answer is no.

TA becomes a copy of the 'printed stats' as well. but there is no attack zone/speed/damage printed anywhere on the card itself, so the copies of TA will return a 0m0d stat when created. this is covered in the Tournament Rules.
