Persuade all other players to stop Khorne early and that should level out the playing field. Despite how powerful Khorne is if the gods temporarily work together, victory can be denied to him.

That's sound in theory but it usually ends up leaning towards king-making. Trying your best to deny one player is usually at your own expense. It's either go all out advancing your victory condition or stopping someone else causing you to fall behind in the running.

Kind of like the base game where the duty of stopping Slaneesh early (before his cultist upgrade) fell on Khorne's lap, and concentrating on that hindered his "spread out for max token kills" strategy.

Too true, but in a game like this with several gods each with unique powers, it will be difficult for the game designers to make all the powers exactly equal. There is always one (for the Horned Rat expansion, Khorne) who is a little notch up the rest, and it's up to the players to bring him down.

Plus, Khorne should be the enemy of all the Chaos gods anyway since he rampages about and slaughters any figure in sight.
