Seen this brought up before elsewhere but hoping one day for a developer ruling.
If a mythos card (say "The Evil is Everywhere" for example) appears that opens two gates, and those two gates are already open, do two monster surges occur that mythos phase. It would seem that is so according to base rules, though problems crop up.
Apologies if this was ruled on, checking the compilation thread did not turn up any results.

I don't think there's an official ruling yet, but consensus seems to be that you would get two monster surges.
(If only one of the gates is open, then the order in which you open the gates may matter for considering how big the monster surge is. We play that the top gate always opens first, but "first player decides" would also be consistent with the rules)

It seems obvious to me that there would be a double surge. What sort of problems? Like which gate surges first? I'm tempted to say player's choice and make sure to distribute at least one monster to the shown gates if possible. But really this needs an official ruling. It never occurred to me before (hadn't come up yet in one of my games). Anything else?
I say the gates open in order, from top to bottom. So the surge would happen from the gate first listed, then the second gate listed.
