The whole idea here is to tank up as hugo decks have tended to do in the past and the beach special all over the place. Besides the obvious fact that i need to put in blinding rage, i would appreciate any advice. I have yet to see a hugo deck posted on these new boards. I guess nobody likes him still.

I have a hugo deck that works on a similar principal to yours. However here's my suggestion. Tiger Fury and High Plasma Beam. Both solid attacks that basically do the exact same thing as Sardine Beach Special, only for your staging area, not your opponents.

beach special is a throw. i would sugest playing more atacks simply becuase, with only 3 atacks you will probably check them.

He has Tag Alongs to pull them back.

But yeah, I'd probably go with more attacks. Maybe scale it up to 6 by adding 3x Tiger Fury.

Also (I'd edit my post if I could), since I think this is a mono-earth deck, I would suggest Distractable. That way you don't have to worry about pesky Rejections, Assassination Arts, or Cutting Edge's as much.

Thanks for the suggetions. Tiger fury does seem like a good idea, I may have to give it a try. The only problem I have with tiger fury is I have no way to force one through. Although John suggested I use ways of punishment regardless of my 4hs. Also I tend to get stuck with attacks in my hand when I play more attacks, which with a 4hs can be really bad. Good call on the distractable by the way, I was really having trouble figuring out what I was going to do against rejection.

this is what I thought when I saw the Hugo support

1. "Whoa, 4hs and 40vit"

2. Amazing drawing power with foundation play and draw power anyway

3. All those Huitzel attacks that required small hs and commited foundations are now gold

4. "Wonder if there's a way to loop drawing the same throw attack?"

5. Damage reduction is minimal but still acceptable

6. "Whoa, 4hs and 40vit"

I like the way he's made for the game's basics; play this then draw, once it's entered then draw, or just draw. it slowly became apparent to me that he would have a limited attack base but then I recured back to Huitzel's attacks and why no one used them with Huitzel and now the R. Mika Beach Special came out and I figured that would've been a staple for the Hugos around.

The hugo tech that we came up with for earth is tool of destruction. give it a try, you might like it.
