Picked Up the Revised Dark Pharaoh Expansion

By sonofachung, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

The same people who serve beer way too cold are the people who drink the cruddy beer, as arkhamresident pointed out. I usually leave mine out to become room temperature and the placed I've gone to serve it at a comfortable temperature. Also, Belgian-temp beer is good. But spiced Belgian-style ales make me gag.

Well I might as well get back on topic. I always enjoyed the "search the cup" Mythos cards and am saddened that they were changed (but I understand why). What is particularly disappointing is that the allies have not retained their "special" bonuses! At the very least, +2 of one and +1 of the other would have worked just fine.

Theoretically speaking, a common belief is that the roots of our species are to be found neither in Europe nor in America, but anyway... go on, this thing sounds completely crazy. I'm wondering how you'd link ***** size to the "revised" Dark Pharaoh...

I agree... it is indeed more than a common belief, it is a theory very well supported by the data (about human origin).

As the ***** size, I am always amazed to see how this kind of contest is so "popular" (who get the nicest car ? who gets the largest ... gui%C3%B1o.gif )

Nice to have a confirmation about this from you :-) I remember I read something written by an English professor who mapped certain chromosome in many populations around the world and at different times of the history, and show that the more we go back in time, the few are the difference between races in our genoma. IIRC, he proved that people living in Mongolia preserved many of the original tracts through history (because their countermigrated in some way... while most of the people moved from East to West, they went the other way round) Has sense for you? It was an amazing article, but I'm not able to find it anywhere, and I'd love to read it again, so if you're familiar with it, it'd be great... (and sorry, I'm not a scientist, and I'm not able to express this properly). But I was amazed by his demonstration that human life as we intend it originated from something like 16 people in Africa

I'm sad I cannot be of any help on any of these issues (I do not have a car, nor a driving license, nor - for obvious reasons - a gui%C3%B1o.gif ), but believe me, as soon as these topics start being discussed, it's always a lot of fun to read ::laughter:: according to my male friends, they are all at least 7 inches; according to my female friends, they don't have boyfriends more than 6. Subjective perception of reality, I think ::laughter::

I KNEW IT!!! So we come from Tuvalu? All my early life I kept telling my relatives and friends that we do not come from Antarctica... And they just looked at me like I was crazy. Who's insane now? HA!

Not so sure we come from Tuvaly, but it seems a nice place to spend the rest of my life!

Interesting to see how the bloody quote function keeps on messing up things...

I always found them a pain in the neck, especially when your cup includes Dunwich, Innsmouth, Kingsport and Black Goat. I wonder if they've changed the fight the God of the Bloody Tongue encounter in the OW deck?

Also, aside from the Whispers and the Herald, are there any truly original components to the Revised set or is it truly just a revision?
